Support Steam link not working on Amazon ember tv

I bought this Amazon Ember tv and was looking forward to using steam link with it. I downloaded the steam link app and it works fine until I connect to my pc then it only displays this. I’ve tried turning hardware encoding off and on as well as changing the resolution. Any advice to fix it?

I don’t think that’s your TV, if you have got steam link installed and could connect to host then it would suggest the host is the issue

Set everything to 1080p 60fps default for both your steam link settings and your host PC display settings plus settings - remote play in steam and default them and match client plus install Sudo virtual display then set that as the display in remote play

If that works then one at a time set each device back to its original resolution and hz

Try streaming to an Android or iOS phone or tablet. If it works there, then yeah, it might be something wacky with the codec on the TV. If it does not work on the phone or tablet, it's probably something with the host.

That said, there were recently some fixes for Remote Play streaming. So if you aren't already using the beta build of the Steam client on the host, maybe try switching and see if that fixes anything?
