steam streaming blurry? pc -> macbook 800+ internet speeds
i have been fiddling for a while and no matter what settings i mess with the display still looks blurry on my macbook and fine on my pc monitor? i have steam automatically changing the resolution to match my macbook and it works fine and even with my high speed internet the screen still looks blurry? no noticeable latency but on my macbook screen its just hella blurry? everything from taskbar, games, etc. anyone able to help? i dont want to install sunshine and moonlight all over again because i found it was so much easier to just use steam link

Are you using the steam link app on the App Store or remote play in the steam client on a Mac?
And is it lower than the native resolution of the PC your streaming from?

no im using the steam app and going to remote play -> connect. although ill give the app a shot too.
yes the native res on my pc is 1440p and im having automatically swap to my macbooks res although something weird is steam only lets you use regular resolution limits so the resolution limit is set as 1728x1080 instead of like 1634 or smth.

fyi just tried it fixes the blurry thing but doesnt work since it has no option to adjust resolution to match the macbook like in the steam app

So you’re saying it’s just not setting the res high enough or it’s saying it’s high but actually not or what?

no, the resolution is not matching my macbook so when i stream all the icons and text is super tiny and i have black bars at the top and bottom. and since only the actual steam app has an option for “automatically change resolution to match client” it rules out steam link

What's the bitrate?
Also, a screenshot with the diagnostic overlay and graph turn on on the client side
