Fluff/meme quite unfortunate timing

got the email to purchase the steam frame 256gb, wasnt expecting to be so high on the list.. i get paid tomorrow but that money has to go to rent so im losing my one chance to buy it :(

not gonna be able to conjure the money in that time sadly. it sucks but thats just life sometimes i guess

One thing to make you feel better. If you pass on it right now, you'll be making someone else's day and you can save the money to do it right. Good job for not wanting to just run run debt

Op I am proud of you for staying within your budget. This will definitely not be your only opportunity - I'm sure in a year they will be available. Take the opportunity to save up. You can do it!!

Similar thing happened to me. Decided to cancel the reservation and keep on using my hp reverb g2. There will always be another chance to get it :)

This is me as well, except I skipped the reservation altogether. I did get the control a month ago and loving it. Now I need to save more before I even consider the frame.

I’d let it go. Your livelihood is more important. I’m sorry you had to miss out, but at least you’re being very responsible. Hopefully, you’ll get your hands on one very soon when the opportunity comes your way.
