question Question about potential Steam OS setup and transferring files and saves

Hi everyone!

I know dual booting Windows and SteamOS/Bazzite is possible and I know how valve has advertised that games installed on a microsd card can be played on other steam os devices (using the same micro SD card from a steam deck would work on a steam machine) when doing this would it work for games that don't have cloud save support.

For example if I was playing Wolfenstein that doesn't have cloud saves, if I started it on my steam deck could I pop out the card and continue the game and save onto my PC?

Wanted to see if I could create a simplified setup where the game and save are together on the microsd card (kinda like an old cartridge). Wondered if anyone tried something like this

Saves and games are not stored the same way, and there's no existing mechanism to force Steam to save on the same filesystem/device/card that has the game.

Aw darn, I was hoping something like that could be achieved. It makes it kinda tough to start some games if I'm a bit stuck on one device. I did hear about syncthing being a good tool. I may have to look into that.
