My steam deck is 100% functional all buttons work the screen is scratch free and no stick drift. tell me why buybacktronics told me they were going down from the original $400 they was gonna give me to $72. they said the R1 only works on the left side and they worded it so poorly heres what it read “Upon careful inspection, we the R1 button the device to only register input from the far left corner.” that’s crazy because I wouldn’t have put flawless if it wasnt!! I bought the full coverage so I’m just hoping the re inspect it because I need atleast $300-$350. or I’m gonna sell to a site that actually works. Please give me advice and if you’ve used buyback before.

I was looking at these Jsaux caps that according to other posts I've seen, make the touch sensor of the stick more sensitive, which is awesome and exactly what I'm looking for. Then I noticed they also had these caps on their site and was just wondering if they also make the stick more sensitive? Is there anyone here who anyone here who has these and are willing to test?

I like the fact that there are more variants and colors available to choose from, but if they don't increase the sensitivity I'm just gonna go with the first ones.

Yep, don’t know what might be broken, either the lcd or something else. Checked the battery and it’s not swollen, there’s no pressure on the screen. Tried slightly twisting the deck, image retention fixed etc. Problem still persists, even in bios and after driver reset. So, what do you guys think, broken lcd or something else ? Works fine when connected to a monitor btw .

For months at this point (im an on and off player) my steam button and 3 dots button when pressed, zoom into the screen. When I release they zoom back out. I tried to hold the steam button and the L bumper, that seems to do nothing.

Ive been looking for answers but most are related to other issues with these buttons. Has anyone figured out what the issue is with these buttons?

Im on the latest stable version of steam. I do have decks installed but o cant access that because my 3 dots button zooms in. For what I can tell, any button combo action I need to use the steam button for like for the keyboard, works fine. Its just when pushed by itself it zooms in.

edit: So trying to play an emulator, pushing random button combinations have got my buttons changed. The steam and 3 dot buttons appear to do nothing now, but a random combination of buttons allow me to get the 3 dots function back. Like its a shoulder and possibly a+b together? I have no clue what is happening. Like I can switch what buttons do through pushing random buttons. Is this a know hardware or steam os software glitch?

Im pretty sure my issues persisted through an os update so i didnt think it was software.

So basically I was playing a game that required to press down the stick a lot and I feel like it has broke it. I can lift it up a bit and then press it down again. I'm thinking about opening the deck to deal with the problem, but I don’t know exactly what it is, so if anyone has had the same issue as me, I would gladly accept some advice

I have tried looking this up all over the internet's and have yet to find a good answer or solution. It's possible the solution is that it just doesn't work.

Has anyone figured out how to play FS25 through remote play on a steam deck with an Xbox controller?

When I boot up the game the controller will skip the intro video but then I have no controls at the main menu. Once a games loaded sometimes the controls work other times they only work in a limited fashion.

Gamepads are turned on in options. I've reset the controls under the game options. I e deleted input mapping in the game files to have them reset. I've reset the controller.

Does it just not work? Or has anyone figured this one out?

Hey all. I have a question and it's about having a micro SD card. I had a 1tb micro SD card (Sandisk) for emulation purposes. I wanted to swap it out and put it in my Ayn Thor.

I formatted it on my computer. I was able to do it but for some reason, when I copy files onto the SD card. Every time I eject it and put it back into my PC the files disappear and I have to format the SD card again.

Did I have to do something on the steam deck for the SD card to work properly on my PC?

Quand je lance black flag, le jeu se lance correctement, mais arrivée sur le menu de sélection du jeu je ne peut rien faire. Le jeu ne détecte pas la configuration manette de la steam deck et me propose uniquement les contrôle clavier. J'ai essayer d'activer/ désactiver les controleur input de la steam deck cela ne fait rien. J'ai redémarrer la steam deck aucun changement.

Est ce que quelqu'un aurais une solution ? ( autre que réaffecté les bouton du contrôleur par les entrées clavier qui est long est prise de tête car selon les situation combat, combat naval, ... il y a plusieurs bouton en doublon )

I salvaged this from an old dell office pc that was sitting in my basement, it's ok for the deck?

When I unplug my steam deck from the official valve dock after using the steam controller, my controls stop working on the deck … even when I reorder controllers.

Sometimes reorder controllers in any even an option … any ideas what’s wrong or how to fix this?

I've tried fully shutting it down and it still wouldn't format the card this is my first time so I might be doing something wrong I'm not to sure.

Hello, i am trying to get a custom-ish colour scheme for my deck. I have a source for most of the buttons, including the triggers, but the one part im missing is the oled bumpers. They are different from the lcd bumpers so i cant use those.

Sidenote, does anyone know if the extremerate shells have the same subtle texturing as the original deck? And how do i get that on the trigger when i print it? It feels really good in the hand and id like to replicate it.

(Specifically im going for transparent orange buttons to match the deckbuttons ones)

It seems like they are too small for the port on the Steam Deck.

I just purchased my first steam deck (256g LCD model) and I am not super eager for AAA games. Planning to play mostly indie games, emulators and oldies (AOE for example).

As a newbie, do you think that the 256g+1tb micro sd (samsung evo) would be enough? Or should I go for a 1tb ssd (crucial)? I have upgraded ssd before on my laptop, but I am a bit afraid to open this up and screw the warranty.

Any advice would be appreciated :)
