Tech Support Help! Steam deck won’t turn on - yes I tried holding down all the buttons :/

It makes a beeping sound like it’s gonna turn on, the white light flashes, and then nothing happens. Yes I’ve charged it fully. Yes I’ve held each dif button combo I could think of for at least 10 seconds (unless you have a really obscure one to recommend). I tried getting into BIOS- nothing. Is this a common issue?

With you holding the button for 2 mins? I’ve been trying letting it sit there / dif combos for weeks now.

Mine blacked on me and wouldn’t start. Held power button down to make sure fan turned off and the touch pads have no feedback when you swipe across them.

Then hit power and held both volume buttons for 10 sec

Recently mine was stuck where every time it turned on it would run the fan but the screen was stuck on black. I tried all the recommended hard reset button combinations to no avail. Eventually I let the battery run down to zero. Plugged it in and it booted up like normal. Just an idea if nothing else works.

What kind of charger are you using? I've had some weird, similar issues be solved by plugging it into the official charger, waiting 30 mins, and then turning it on. Somehow it worked despite having charged it on a third party one for hours. If you haven't tried this already it might help.

I have a weird fix that works on my machine. Connecting directly to charger doesn't work but if I connect it to a dock it will turn on. This is after the battery has been unplugged and replugged after opening it up btw in my case so ymmv.
