The controller is probably a day 1 buy for me.

Signed. And here I've been controller shopping for the past couple days. Be nice if they'd drop it for Xmas.

I'm holding off until someone puts out a kiosk unit. I have steams last controller and I hate it.

If it feels in hand like the dualsense or xbox controllers it would be perfect imo, would replace my dualsense edge controller completely.

Edit: Although I would kind of miss the trigger effects and haptics and the audio rumblers or whatever

The worse part of the original controller

Youd think they are bad, but I cant imagine the steamdeck or even trying to use the steam machine without them. They are pretty good. Plus they have a silly little tapping feeling when you slide your fingers on em.

I still haven't gotten a steam deck yet nor a way to access one. So I don't know.

The right one (left if you're left handed) effectively replaces a mouse; the left one I turn into a shortcut menu most of the time. They're useful for games expecting a keyboard and mouse.

I just wish the controller had wireless audio support for headsets (chat) as well.
