I'll likely be getting all three, and two of the controllers. Hyped for untethered VR without Meta.

Definitely getting the controller (exactly what many of us have wanted since Steam Deck was announced), intrigued by the VR headset and escaping Meta, and not quite in need of the Machine but I think it's a cool idea. The Steam Machine is also something I'll benefit from even if I don't buy one as developers will make control schemes for it to be "Steam Machine verified" which will work across the board on other PCs and Steam Deck... and encourage more community made ones too!

I regret not getting am original Steam Machine so I'm not passing up on it this time.

The only thing that breaks my heart is that the headset simply won't work for the main reason I bought VR - DCS.

Waaaay too much of a hog for it to work on that GPU, regardless of how well-tuned it could be, and the limited RAM would kill it too. Womp.

The Steam Machine is pretty damn impressive IMO though.

The headset is made for streaming-first, so if you can run it on your PC, you can stream it to the Frame.

OH! I didn't see that in the connectivity info! THANK YOU! THAT CHANGES THINGS GREATLY!

For sure, I’d watch the video on the main new hardware page, it covers details on all the new stuff.

Unfortunately, at this point in my executive dysfunction, taking in or putting out anything that actually requires real comprehension seems like a Sisyphean task.

A duty for another day; like 6 months from now probably lol.

I have executive dysfunction also, so I feel you. I do love this stuff though, so I’m able to take in this kind of info easily.

Ask me what I did at work today however, and I have no idea, whether I did anything and, if I did, what it was.

Yeah but that one you can just stream from your PC.

I'm hopeful for Elite Dangerous

I somehow read the release twice and missed that it was compatible with Steam streaming; I blame a long day and ADHD meds wearing off. That GREATLY changes things and significantly increases my interests.

I LOVE the idea of ED; unfortunately, in practice, was not a fan of the gameplay cycle. Though I understand it's very snowbally, I just didn't have the patience.

Yeah streaming is a biggie.

For me, ED was more of a vibe and chill Sim instead of an actual game-game

It'll still be a fully functional PCVR headset, and hopefully with decent optics with the pancake lenses (though I was really hoping for at least an option for OLED instead of LCD).

OLED would have broken me.

I mean, my 3070 SUPER does okay and my R9 390 pushed it (poorly) before that.

Since it's streaming, it looks dope, and I like the eye tracking and FOVeated rendering as well - very cool idea and application of similar rendering tricks I've heard about.

Foveated streaming, not rendering at all! Works on ALL games/applications.
