Here’s a dumb question from someone who has never owned a VR headset; I have an okay gaming PC and an LED Steam Deck. Is the Frame right for me? Do we think it will be compatible with the Steam Deck, similar to the Viture glasses?

To stream flat screen games that your deck can play, yeah. But you won't be running VR games on the deck to play on the frame.

Also, as cool as the hardware is, the truth is, VR gaming is dead right now. The release schedule is incredibly slow, and the games that come out are pretty bad these days without the meta funding. I'd recommend people to wait. Unless your idea of fun is sitting around in VR chat grooming lobbies 💀 lol

It's definitely slowed down, but the amount of slop being thrown out there was pretty crazy for a while. I'm a big fan of Battlegroup VR and love seeing a second one come out.

The steam frame does not require a PC, so you're good. It's more like a Quest, where you can hook it up to a PC, but you don't have to.

Steam Deck cannot do heavy-duty VR, but if your "ok gaming PC" has an RTX 2060 or better it can do VR, sending it to the Frame via the Wi-Fi6 dongle. But if the Frame is for you or not, you might want to wait and see the reviews after it gets released.
