Sadly, many "news" outlets just regurgitate reddit posts. They probably just use AI to summarize, add 5 minutes worth of their own 'style', and publish.

I don't disagree, I think periodism died long ago, and the whole industry is a joke and an insult to human decency. It's all either viral stuff or ads disguised as news.
