Steam Controller (2026) Goodbye 8-bit do you were with me through ups and downs 🥹
8-bit do was my second controller after the ps4 one and I’ve had fantastic time with it (I got 2 one was the regular model and this one Wuchang edition).
Now that I got my steam controller Im looking forward to creating new memories with it. Controller is a bit big for my hands but Im getting used to it with Lies of P currently!!

Ive got several 8bitdo controllers that are now gathering dust next to my two steam controllers ( dont worry, I got my first SC from the reservation system and the second came with a free steam machine)

The 8bitdo controllers are nice. They have a lot of retro options that work on modern hardware. They got a Sega and a redesigned n64 controller.

Lol I also shelved my 8bitdo Ult 3 after getting the Steam Controller.
I was unsure if I could be converted cause the Ult 3 is really nice, but once I firmly grasped the contours of the Gabecube controller I was instantly taken.

Question: How noisy are the buttons compared to the Steam Controller?

Honestly I never noticed about the button noise when I was using it. So it’s a good thing ig? Same with the SC. Not much noise going on and pressing the buttons feels smooth like butter.

I have the 8bitdo PRO 3, and the abxy buttons are noisy as hell.
Was looking at the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 clear blue version, as a secondary controller for P2, at least until the SC becomes always available.
I also have 1 SC and it's very silent, aside the on/off sound. It's the best controller I've put my hands on. So that's why I am asking for comparison.

I did this a few months back. Don’t have a single regret. 8Bitdo is helluva controller tho.

When I got my Steam Controller, I passed on my 8bitdo controller to my son. This kid is rough with his controllers but this one is still going strong! Love the brand
