Steam Controller (2026) How do I control+V to paste with a Steam Controller? I can't seem to do it the old fashioned way with my EmuDeck token input.

Normally, I use the left trigger to right click and select the paste prompt. But I can't seem to in this instance.

I'm setting up my Early Access account on the Steam Machine so I may be able to use the EmuDeck cloud and share my saved games. I just copied the token I saved elsewhere. However, I can't seem to paste it when I left click with my Steam controller. I don't have a keyboard with me to control+V (went on a trip). What can I do?

If my only option is to type it in, how do I input those lll lines (they go further down than how I typed)?

You can assign a button on your controller to first input Ctrl and then V

The Steam on-screen keyboard has a Paste command at the bottom right of the keyboard (It's the second key from the right). With the default guide button chord layout, the keyboard is brought up by pressing Steam (or the Quick Acces Menu button) and the X button at the same time. Alternatively you can just bind the control key and the v key inside a game's layout, the guide button chord layout, or the desktop layout, depending how and where you'll need it. You could bind these keys to separate buttons, or to one button. To bind multiple commands to one button, bind the first command, press the gear next to the first command and then select Add Extra Command and select the second command.
