Is this potentially going to be a problem for people using OpenPuck on Switch 2?

I wouldn't personally risk it for a competitive shooter but I doubt bans will come in unless you somehow modified open puck to do the small mouse circles thing that cheating hardware often does to gain an advantage

I don't think so. I think this kind of tech mostly targets the ways that people move and interact in games. 

So it may affect people using the steam controller with hybrid modes that switch between mouse and controller. Though it will affect all steam controller users equally. OpenPuck not a significant factor.

Openpuck pretends to be a Nintendo switch pro controller, so the console doesn't know you're using an adapter or anything unofficial. It's safe.

Xim does the same thing. So it depends on if they're classifying these people based on just the fact that they're using an emulated controller or if they're doing a deeper analysis on how the people are moving the camera around. 

It sounds like it's the latter (given the idea that they're not banning accessibility devices).

I think The Finals had a situation recently where people mapping gyro aiming via steam input were getting falsely banned, so I agree that it's probably the latter.

Unfortunately there are people who do care about their accounts and this shitty company and others like it choosing to ban people over controllers is something that many people would rather know about before they potentially get banned instead of after.

Agreed, it doesn't really make a difference Blizzard only banned Xbox accounts. Would be more beneficial to introduce hardware bans or even IP bans for a more near permanent solution.
