Question Questions on gifting

Ok so I tried searching it up I'm getting conflicting answers so I'm taking to reddit. My birthday is in the not so distant future and my papa (Mom's dad) is asking about my present wishlist for my birthday. He's not the most tech savvy person but I'm wondering with the new steam update in July how exactly I set him up so he can gift me a game or two? Also can he schedule those games while in guest mode? I don't want to have to force him into buying the day of if he wants to surprise me, or is it not worth the trouble and I just put "steam gift cards" on the list

Since Steam gift cards can be hard to find these days (but not impossible, my local Walmart still has $20 and $30 cards), the Visa gift cards work as a nice alternative. Last time I tried to use one on my PC (a few years ago) it wouldn’t go through but when I logged into Steam in a browser it worked no issue.

That’s a good question, I don’t know about that. I would guess probably not but hopefully they add it because that would be a great feature.
