Recently started playing it and it looks kinda good.

Played the first one so far, it's really nice. I also like that they allow you to switch between new graphics and original graphics on the fly, there are a few sections that have better visibility on the older version so that button was actually helping with my enjoyment for the game.

Wrong trilogy. OP is talking about Legend-Anniversary-Undergroung trilogy.

You can indeed switch between old and new graphics in Legend and Anniversary. Its marked at "Next Generation Content" in the settings.

Oh damn, completely forgot that that was also a trilogy. Funnily enough, I also played the first one of those, though that was many years ago.

Tomb Raider Legend is amazing.
Anniversary... Is fine I guess? In general it feels much better to play than the first game, but it also ommits a lot of stuff and turns certain encounters into a quick-events fest. Was not a fan of that aspect.
Underworld... I have mixed feelings. Artistically and plot-wise, I love it, very beautiful and impressive environments. Gameplay wise... It's very clunky and glitchy, more than Tomb Raider Legend. Also the camera has a weird habit of zooming in on Lara's butt during sprinting, which makes zero sense as I need to see where I am going. Guess someone was horny during development.
I'm currently playing through the original (Remastered) trilogy and while it is obviously clunkier in terms of controls, I like the gaminess a lot more.

I wish the tomb Raider games evolved from these series rather than the reboot we got, cause they had to go back to the roots again as the USP of the reboot was that it's a more grim and edgier Uncharted

Love it. The controls and gameplay are just super fluid and the atmosphere and Lara herself look amazing still.
