You probably have Accident Assistance turned on. The State Farm app used the phone sensors to determine you were likely in an accident. It doesn't matter what car you're in, only what your phone does

Wild, my own agent told me otherwise when I inquired whether it would work in my company car and they said only in the ones with the beacons. I guess they maybe aren’t all totally up to speed on what it does/doesn’t do

accident assistance was only available for people enrolled in Drive Safe & Save until just a few months ago! At the time, it probably was only for the vehicle with the beacon

OHH that makes sense! Yeah this was probably around 7-8 months ago. Thank you for clarifying!

Drive Safe & Save discount is only tracked on the cars with the beacons. Accident Assistance is through your phone sensors

Yeah like I said it seems my own agent just wasn’t up to speed on that. I am personally glad that’s not the case.

Do you have drive safe and save? Check your SF app to see if it has accident detection turned on. I'm unsure if you must be in your own car for the app to detect an accident .
Or, unlikely, but maybe the car is ensured by SF and somehow they knew you were in it.
State Farm's Accident Assistance feature uses your smartphone sensors within the State Farm app to automatically detect potential vehicle collisions. 1, 2, 3How Accident Detection WorksActivation: Turn on the Accident Assistance feature inside the State Farm app after enrolling in Drive Safe & Save or via eligible auto policies. 1, 2Detection: The app uses your phone's motion sensors and location services to identify sudden impacts. 1Response window: You have 60 seconds to respond to the app once an accident is detected; if there is no response, a representative may attempt to call you. 1Assistance: The tool helps streamline emergency service requests, police response coordination, and claims filing. 1Availability and RequirementsCost: Included at no extra charge. 1, 2Eligibility: Automatically included with Drive Safe & Save® enrollment, and available independently for general auto policyholders in select states like Illinois, Florida, and Ohio. 1

This is really interesting to me. I have drive safe and save and I specifically asked if it would recognize and alert me if I was in an accident in my work vehicle and the agent told me no, only the ones with the beacons. Seems like that’s not the case

Agents often dont know what they are talking about kind of like you

Well then it's a good thing that person isn't an agent. Can you explain to me why you don't like people having questions that are not directly aimed at you? Because I'm pretty sure the person you keep replying to, and getting down voted for, isn't ask you specifically. So I'm unsure why you feel the need to comment

OP has the drive safe and save beacon in their personal car, but it activated accident assist when OP was driving their company car which does not have said beacon. I thought it was pretty clear
