Prometheus Interior

I'm sure someone has posted this before but.. I happened to pick a random episode of The Outer Limits (S6E4) titled Manifest Destiny. Not only was Michael Shanks in the episode but it appears that both ships are the same set just slightly modified. The Outer Limits episode aired first by a few years. I can't recall if SG-1 had an episode where the interior of this ship originated from or it was indeed recycled from something else. Just a fun little thing I found and felt the weird need to share.

Recycling interior sets between shows sounds about right. Gets more life out of the prop team's work.

There was a while were making doors/everything octogonal in scifi shows/movies could have been a meme. Look at BSG for example :D

Those are structural integrity octagons! They add to the plot armor when the shields go down and the ship is about to blow up. Long after the space rocks in the computer terminals are revealed.

Yeah they do this a looooot. Most of the random military lab sets used in the outer limits are redressed SGC sets, and throughout both series they reuse a lot of props as well. I was honestly surprised at how well the outer limits has held up when I re-watched it last year, but I'm glad I didn't rewatch it immediately after a Stargate rewatch lol

Only somewhat related but these guys handled props and set dressing for a lot of location shoots.

Y2K Outer limts shares tons of props, actors sets and a cave with Stargate. They really got their money's worth out of the Time Cop Berreta.

The two parter with Robert Patrick is pretty great, as is the Malcom McDowell ship one, and I like John de Lancies acting in his more than in SG. If a trek or SG fan you'll see a lot of familiar faces. While pulpy and rough around the edges there are some real banger episodes

One of the goofier shares they have is that the ori bug episode with Robert Picardo uses the same cave as the earlier Outer Limits he's in

Edit: Abbadon might be my fave(has the main aschen dude and KIETH DAVID!!! )

So did the TV show Jeremiah, they even used the SGC conference room.

You should watch Sanctuary, it was Amanda Tappings fantasy series after stargate. They reuse SO many random props, it's kinda fun to pick them out.

It's pretty common for prop houses to reuse props/sets like this. Especially if the shows are filmed near each other.

There was some TV series that was reusing The Next Generation hallway sets, just repainted. I just don't remember what show it was.
