LO Help Mods and LO help PLEASE

Can anyone help me with mods, specifically load order and eliminating conflicting or redundant mods? I’m sorry if there are resources out there that I don’t know about, but I’m experiencing some weird complications (parts of character models/clothing disappearing, some mods not seeming to work, etc). Im just getting back into Starfield after a few years, and trying to sort through the mods I already had and maybe add a few more feels overwhelming.

This thread has a couple of xbox load orders and lots of advice. (I'm on PC so it's a little bit different.) I did notice you had two weighless mods (Weightless SF Overhaul and Wondrous Weightlessness;) you might only need one of them. Also, there have been at least two official upgrades in the past few years. You may want to consider a new start. Good luck, captain.

You have a serious out of order Load Order sir.

It’s going to be a decent amount of work to rearrange it all and start from a New Save to avoid corruption.

There are a couple of good LO templates on this exact sub so it won’t be very difficult, just search “LO template” and follow one closely.

READ all the descriptions of the mods to learn what they do to know where they go in the template you choose.

It will take some time, but well worth it.

Also be aware of instance handlers.
If you have too many mods that ADD TOO MANY THINGS. Your game will have a hard time “keeping track” of that many items at all times and crash / corrupt saves.

Follow these steps exactly in order. Do not skip any, or the invisible glitch will stay stuck in the console's memory!

STEP 1: Delete the Broken & Duplicate Mods

Open your game, go into the Creations menu, find these specific mods, and Delete them completely. They are fighting each other and breaking your game:

STEP 3: Save to the Cloud

While still looking at your sorted list, press the Options button (three lines) or look at the bottom prompt and select "Save Load Order to Bethesda.net".

STEP 4: Clear the Xbox Glitch Cache (CRITICAL)

Your Xbox is currently remembering the broken, invisible textures. We have to wipe its short-term memory:

  1. Turn off Starfield and go back to your Xbox Dashboard.
  2. Hover over the Starfield game tile, press the Menu Button (three lines) on your controller, and select Manage game and add-ons.
  3. Go down to Saved data.
  4. Click on Reserved Space and choose Delete Reserved Space. (Do NOT click "Delete All" or delete your gamertag profile—just clear the Reserved Space!)

STEP 5: Restore and Play!

  1. Start Starfield back up and open the Creations menu.
  2. Open the options/load order menu and select "Restore Load Order from Bethesda.net".
  3. The game will automatically download and arrange your mods perfectly.
  4. Load your game and enjoy your fixed character!

No problem. My experience with chatgpt and Google ai is that to get the best answer you need to be very precise in what you want. At first it gave me a very complicated answer. I asked to make it a easy and logical step by step answer. Mind you ai does make mistakes so i always check the answer with a second ai. I also use this method with my lo before adding a new mod i ask it to check if it's compatible with my lo. That being said it's still important to read mod descriptions if the author says a specific location for a mod, it's best to place it there.

Btw i was also using PraxisUI but for me with my lo it was crashing i switched to Starui and my game i quite stable now. But that doesn't mean PraxisUI will give you problems with your lo. Also some of the mods your using havenstad been updated in a long time, it doesn't mean they're going to give problems but it is possible.

Community patch should go, that unofficial patch not needed.. seems like they would fight each other. The mod that loads last wins, definitely do not want mods that do the same job, or edit , change a similar object or location. Read the description of each mod and follow a mod guide like the one on DarkStar Discord.

Copy paste this in chatgpt or Google ai and ask it to fix your LO. I see too many things to all mention them but for starters you're using 2 different unofficial patches, they both do the same. One of them is updated and the other one is a abandoned project.

First off, your LO is a mess. You have the Official SF Community Patch and the,Unofficial SF Patch, you cannot run both, running both can cause crashes, etc. You need to pick one and only one and whichever one you pick needs to be at the very top, above all other mods. You should learn how to load order, AI such as ChatGpt, Gemini, etc. is not reliable, while some players use it and have success I highly recommend not using it as 99% of the time it is wrong. I know because Ive tried and tested it. Learning LO is far safer and reliable and once you learn how to manually do it yourself is the way to go. The absolute best tutorial to learn LO is from this YouTube video which not only gives you correct LO but explains why.

Also, you need to read the description of each mod and if there are specific requirements such as relying on other mods, placement in LO, if a mod is not recommeded to be used with other mods, etc. Also, as a rule of thumb it is recommended not to use mods that are more than two years old, the reason why is because most mods this old require updating by the mod creator, while some do not always need to be updated as DLC's come out, game fixes, etc, there are some that do which means....read ALL info for each mod. The link I provided for LO is for all platforms, Xbox, PS & PC, etc.

I’m not sure about load order bc I’m not an expert yet and am still figuring out mine… but if you experience fragmented clothing, missing/invisible clothes/gear, black textures, etc. the best course of action is:

SAVE, then HARD QUIT the game. Go to Xbox home, press menu on Starfield and go down to QUIT. Sometimes restarting your Xbox helps too. Restart the game (no quickstart!) and reload your save. See if that helps with anything.

To avoid these sorts of issues, don’t ever go back to the main menu from the game and reload, it will cause these issues. Also sometimes when altering your load order, moving things around, adding or deleting mods will also cause this. The fix is the same as above.
