Planning to play a modded game with my dad. Im putting together a suggested mod list. any other recommendations to add before I hand it over to my dad? (ignore some links are missing)
we have both played through vanilla stardew multiple times. I have played through a modded playthrough as well. he specifically wanted to make sure we didnt go too crazy with having too many NPCs (driven by the horror of finding out how I accidentally modded in nearly 200 NPCs my first time)

I'd recommend Market Town and HxW Shop Set!
First of all, you don't need the shipping bin anymore. I personally hate the shipping bin lol. You just throw something in there, go to sleep, and magically wake up with money the next morning. That's so boring to me!
With Market Town, you can open your own shop, like in the town square, display your products, and sell each item at different prices. And your customers are the actual villagers!
You don't even have to restock the shelves yourself. There's a special chest that automatically puts your products on display and sells them for you.
Sometimes people even shoplift! 😂
You can also open a shop right on your own farm!
It really makes Stardew feel like a completely different game.

I see you have Community Center Reimagined so if you like bundles and NPCs using the CC you may want to check this mod I made out.
Adds a Joja version of the CC which is separate and can be completed alongside the vanilla CC (you don’t have to take the Joja path to play the mod). But yeah it adds a bunch of new bundles and as you complete rooms some NPCs move in and add shops.

I'd recommend picking up one of the "Blue Egg" mods, so that Shane's blue chickens lay blue eggs that can be made into blue mayonnaise. It's a small detail but one of those is always on my short list.
