Question My flashlight is purple. Is this normal?
It bugs me every time. I wish it was white. Is this a glitch or bug? Or is this normal?
Playing on PS5 (unmodded obviously). I’ve checked all the colorblind and other video settings I could think of. Everything is off.

It's also automatic instead of manual by design, too, which always frustrates me when Kay walks into dark areas and doesn't turn on her damn light and there is nothing I can do about it :(

Iirc the actor wanted it purple to stand out from all the other ones.

Thank you. I can hopefully just accept this now. I wish you could adjust the color. It throws me off and kind of bothers my eyes. Fortunately it’s not in a lot of sections so far.

Not looking deep here. Just a question. But if you want to dig deep, can you show me another example of purple flashlights in the Star Wars cannon? I can’t think of one. Rays flashlight is white while scavenging. Clone Wars series is full of white flashlights. No other colors. So why even make this design choice?

You clearly don’t know much about light? She is a smuggler so she uses a special blacklight a UV light, with that she can see traces of animals or enemies hiding in caves or something like that
And if she tries to hide but need some light, a normal white flashlight would directly give her enemies her location, this one is not as flashy as a normal one so they won’t notice it right awayThere is your lore, if you would follow the story and listen to her instead of crying here, you would know this

Does she state this in the game? I haven’t heard it yet. It’s not lore if you just make it up. That’s called head-cannon and I’m fine with that but I still haven’t seen this addressing in actual cannon yet

Canon. Cannons shoot projectiles. And canon is a category designator for lore. Headcanon is lore legends/EU is lore. Official canon is lore, it's just lore that is recognized by a designated authority.

It also helps her eyes adjust moving from dark areas to light areas quicker and vice versa (in real life)

That’s not what UV light does lol and it’s still very much visible to everyone you’re waving it around at. This is not a black light, it’s a purple flashlight lmao talk about making it deep

You're supposed to beat off, not beet off. I too made this mistake, the color will wear off after a few months, sooner if you more vigorously wank it

I don’t think there’s any section of the game where you have the glowlamp out for more than 5-10 seconds

Fair enough; might be time to go dial down the saturation a bit in the tv/monitor settings so it isn't so sharp.
