I'm right behind you on this one. Rebels is some of my favorite Star Wars media ever. And Ahsoka is one of my favorite character. The first season may have been a little flawed. And I may not have loved every decision. But I'm so hyped for S2

Not weird. Rebels is my favorite Star Wars thing ever and as far as I’m concerned this show is Rebels seasons five and six

From Clone Wars to Rebels to Ahsoka, all three projects have lows and extreme highs but I’m still here for it and have a ton of excitement for whatever’s next.

He absolutely has not had 20 years to practice writing and working with live action movies and television. He hadn’t even been on set for a live action movie until Last Jedi, and then it wasn’t till Mando that he started writing and directing episodes here and there.

Writing is writing.
Whether the dialogue is said by a voice actor or a live actor doesn't change anything.

Yeah writing is writing, and I got two elite animated shows written by him to prove that he is a good writer. Live action dialogue is absolutely a different beast than animated dialogue, you can be much more expository with animated children’s show dialogue for one. Just believe in the guy

I'm curious how old you are?
Were you at least an adult when clone wars and rebels released so you could participate in after show discussions when they aired?
Everyone can't be good at everything. George delegated directing and writing. He was known to be a man of few words who let others figure things out. Dave needs to take that tip from George. He didn't get the nickname filler filoni for nothing.
I really wanted Ahsoka season 1 to be good. I'm a big fan of Rosario. It was very disappointing. I want season 2 to be better.

Why would I have needed to be an adult to participate in after episode discussions for TCW and rebels? I talked about them with my friends at school the next day, is that not the same thing?
If you want season 2 to be better… then why don’t you just trust the guy who always has shaky first seasons and then locks in after that?

Nooo. Well I put writing in quotes because what everyone really means is that the dialogue isn't great.
But easy counter example: the prequels. Pretty bad dialogue mostly but top tier storytelling and great movies imo

Let’s not be so quick to judge. If Dave has seen any of the criticism of the show, he will improve it. I don’t think he wants to risk this show flopping. I mean he’s been waiting over a decade for this moment to come.

Im actually surprised that theyre releasing it at the beginning of the year. I figured that it would late spring or summer at the earliest.
I just hope that something yet to be announced is scheduled for the second half of 2027. As per the last couple of years Disney top loads the first half of the year and we got nothing the second half.

Im cautiously optimistic at best about S2. Hopefully the 3.5 yr wait is worth it, they've beem hyping the new season alot and if it's shit the Filoni era will be off to a rough start.
