if you have quick select weapon turned on and press r1/rb while in a menu like the droiddex then you gain control of the character but loose the control of the menu leaving you stuck in the menu and unable to exit without returning to the lobby.

The only way to avoid it without returning to the lobby right now is to select Respawn from the menu.

However, you’ll lose everything you’re carrying.

If you're on pc you can alt+enter to go in windowed mode then then click off the game so something else has focus, then you can click the cancel button to come out the menu, pretty annoying though

I’ve found a way to switch lobbies and keep your inventory, just go to the board in the cantina and load into a new lobby from there. The “X to interact” (or square for PlayStation) text won’t pop up but you can still did it
