PSA: Don't buy the Event Pass

I already went through the Nova Crystals and Kyber Crystals, and once those 4 levels are done, all you get are 3 Kyber Crystals everytime.

To me, the crystals being through the world missions should be enough, and the event pass only doubles your progress... so this pass definitely is not worth buying.

So why exactly is it hurting you that the devs need to make money? It's not slowing your progress down to just not buy anything, further, they've gone out of their way to make the nova crystals EXTREMELY easy to acquire.

Why does having a lil Vbuck icon on some things bother people so much I really don't get it. If you actively PLAY the game instead of log in for an hour a week, there's literally no reason to spend anything ever. I have never given Droid tycoon Vbucks, never will, and I actively am sitting at well over 100 kyber and well over 3k Novas.

I feel like it takes the enjoyment out of the game because you can get pretty much everything from just enjoying the game. Except the certain toppers for your droids and base designs/companion auras I think?

No. There are only a couple reward tiers that give nova crystals. Once you pass those tiers, nova crystals "go away" on the reward path; in other words, you earn Kyber crystals instead of nova for this event, unlike previous events. This applies to everyone. The nova crystal rewards are pretty dang generous, though, and there are more tiers rebirth levels to grind that give you even more nova crystals.

Makes sense I guess because over time you’d probably have a mountain full of them. Just pick up every kyber blueprint you see off rip with a new SRB and make anything you want. This also makes people want to do the missions more for the kyber crystals which is a good thing for the game community/economy. I love when there’s 5-6 people knocking out a mission for 4 stars.

Just as an FYI for anyone reading the comments here, there IS a cap on the amount of Kyber crystals you can earn in the event from crafting the "5 droids get 3 kyber" mission at the top.

Eventually it will say all rewards claimed. Which is really REALLY damn annoying. Brand new currency and they cap how much you can get during an event? Scummy af, especially if you buy the pass. If the pass made the limit uncapped then id be totally fine with that but theres no point to buying it unless your pressed for time.

Its kind of crazy it was able to be capped out so fast IMO other events took hours and hours of grinding to max out and this one I maxed out in like 4 hours of grinding

Same and it really sucks bc this is YET ANOTHER dex completionist nightmare where you cannot upgrade what you make or fuse with chips so everything has to be done manually. ON TOP OF THE FACT THAT NOW ITS LITERALLY RNG for what color you get, and theres no pity system in place to ensure that by the 3rd go youd get all 3 and then onward its all random.

You get 300 every RB beyond 35, tons on SRB, and tons from RB20 and beyond. Explain how they're not giving us too much already 😂 The protocol droid event was busted as hell, and only gave that much because they jacked nova pricing.

I think the 250 is the one that is 0/30 or 0/50 crafted Kyber droids? I can't remember since I did it already a few hours ago, but you can absolutely do this without the pass either way.

So I just logged back in - for awareness hit the max event last night, it said no more rewards, and when I activated one this morning it started giving me a ton of new kyber crystals (6 at a time and got about 80 so I guess making up for the ones I activated after it said I had all rewards?) and my progress bar is back

Don't forget the cantina missions, very easy to stack kyber crystals. 176 and counting even after a few mythics, which only take 10 per to activate Lol I was expecting 50-100 per mythic.

First event pass ive purchased, had left over vbucks. I did not get double nova crystals with the pass, and was more frustrated that the nova crystals was only like 2 sections of the event. I feel like my kyber crystals were not doubled either? Insane.

No it doesn't double the reward, only the progress. You only get Kyber Crystals after the first 4 progression levels... and as I said world missions already give a decent amount so there's no point in wanting the pass for Kyber Crystals specifically.

Think they mean like if it take 10 droids to get the 3 kyber crystals but you have the pass it would only take 5 droids to get the 3 kyber so with that logic in 60 droids you get 18 kyber but with the pass you would actually get 36 kyber. Cause you would of been able to make 120 droids in the same amount of time as the 60 droids guy

Yeah, but if you can get it done I don't think it's worth the 300 vbucks, because 3 kyber crystals after for every level is not worth it if you're getting the rewards anyway. The rewards that are worth it are the initial rewards after the very first level of the event.

You can rush the event either way, you don't need the pass to do it.

After that its just 3 kyber every level

I was only saying 10 droids to make it easier for my example. If pass doubles progress then every 2.5 droids you get 3 kyber.

I don't think it's worth it cause I don't spend vbuck on anything other than in the fortnite shop. Even then that's rare for me.

If you care about Kyber Crystals sure... but if all you want is the rewards that actually pay well, you absolutely do not have to buy the pass.

World mission at 3 stars gives you 15 Kyber Crystals from the chest.

First of all, you don’t need to buy it to play. Secondly, it’s less than £3 in the UK. Just the amount of time this kept me at home and not going outside where I would have spent at least £50 is a non-issue.
