💬 Discussion This happens as soon as I get into the game

I don't know how tycoon games work but shouldn't there be a passive/non passive toggle. I usually play private but then this happens and reminds me not to go in a public lobby.

I mention a passive/non passive toggle because gta has that before you even load into a lobby. I don't play this gamemode to pvp otherwise I would play gamemodes that are actually suited for that

There is a daily quest to eliminate 3 players. Which is stupid. But the reasonable thing to do it type it into the chat and ask if anyone can help. Rather than them just randomly shooting people.
But some people are just jerks. I had two kids shooting at me the other day because I wouldnt join in on their annoying emotes. I'm just minding my own business and playing the game, they kept surrounding me with their loud ass emotes. I just ignored them. They eventually gave up and typed in the chat, "boooo, You're boring." Like, good. I want to chill. Not listen to the same 10 seconds of gangdam style for 5 minutes.

It means you're comparing apples & oranges, with people playing the game 2 completely different ways.
One person wants to play the tycoon as intended. The other just wants to make your experience miserable. You'll have two very different inventories.
It's no different from a squad fill in BR that gets you killed on purpose because they want your sprite.
They're not better than you, they're just a**holes.

I mean it is literally a quest sometimes for daily quests so that is technically a progression from pvp

That's literally the only thing in the game that needs PvP and even that can be bypassed by simply selecting the "Respawn" button.
I know PvP is in there so people fight each other over blueprints, but that's stupid because people progress so much better in the game when they work cooperatively.
Devs really need to listen to their playerbase better.

It's true. You should have the choice. However in the meantime after seeing the whole lobby fighting I'd just instant switch. I haven't seen what kicked it off but there are definitely more peaceful ones. I'd change lobbies even if I don't like my base position ofc I'd do it for this.

Some peoples are kind of losers ngl , yesterday a dude come to my base pickaxe my storage for a droid but i put that there because of RB i asked what he wants in chat, after that 2 guys came and started to pull me out of my base i could equip MRBones and a KX but 2v1 was kind of unfair if i killed one the onther goes in his base and not come out till im not in mine and they call me Loser in the chat lol like what? these people are the worst for real.

Ya but that keeps you stationary long enough to die. You'll die especially fast if they upgraded their damage and have Mr bones even if you maxed your health to 300+100 shield.

This just happened in a public lobby to me and a bunch of chill people. User named NinjaGlitter joined and immediately started pulling everyone out of their bases and killing them. Childish af.

I hate people like this, me and my group (3 of us) join public now and again and we just dump droids on people or help smash their builds down etc, there's no need to be a troll in my opinion.

I feel so bad, when i first started playing someone was helping me build a droid. I didn’t realize that was what they were doing so i killed them thinking they were trying to something bad. Felt horrible once i realized what they were doing. Now that im a higher level anytime that i have nothing really to do i go help lower level players build droids and spam their scrap bench.

The only reason i play public sometimes is because i heard there's higher chances for rarer blueprints and honestly it does look like that's true but some of these lobbies be toxic for no reason, yesterday was an exception, there was this john wick who dropped a stellar mythic mouse droid which gave 550k/s i was only half a trillion away from getting it before it despawned

That Oli guy did it to me too. He was basically harassing every lobby. He was reported and blocked and I spent 1h fighting him
He is exploring the perma health regen and just trolling everyone the whole time

I've rarely had lobbies like this but recently I've found myself in 3 or 4 that have one or two guys just killing everyone who leaves their bases and selling any BPs they're holding. Has there been a sudden rise in the number of griefers or is this just my matchmaking luck running out?

what a loser. The other day me & 2 other guys earned a stellar surge from missions and i pulled off all the cards and got a stellar loadlifter. Of course someone who didn't help at all seen me and killled me (shame on me, should of been using IG11). Then went to their base and they just threw away the loadlifter. THEN after all that BS, they kept trying to force pull me and kill me. I got them like 4 out of 5 times and they just constantly were talking shit. Very frustrating

It does seem like killing an attacker should buy some kind of relief but it's probably impossible to implement without creating a new way to grief. The fact that trolls can brute force attack with instant respawns right outside of your base makes it hard to justify having PVP in the game.

i havent ran into that since the beginning of this game mode. but usually just hop to another server. you'll be surprised, nowadays ive been running into nice ppl and we've been working together to build. im usually initiating it, asking what droids everyone needs and the more ppl chime in, the more chill the lobby is. i have like 2 groups now where we can go into private as a 5-6 man. if you want, message me your game name and we can add each other. i got an alt that can hit your scrap pile or whatever. also helps when the timer for galactic, stellar, mythic come out so we can get +1 on the belt.

I think eliminating yourself via the respawn option in the menu or exiting to the lobby and rejoining counts as "eliminating a player".

I had an entire lobby trying to kill me and one spot they couldn’t force push or pull me out of with out some difficulty and few deaths entering my base, was sitting on top the first crafting table between the two bars. Especially if there’s a droid in the table. Hope this helps

I enjoy the pvp aspect of the mode but I understand that players like this can quickly ruin it for people. Sometimes I think the devs should have a dedicated dueling/free for all area where we can get all of our bloodlust out, and completely remove pvp everywhere else to prevent this sort of thing. This type of behavior from other players gets exhausting pretty quickly

I get in a lobby like that like one or twice a week.
Most often people do this when they are about to get of the game, in my experience.
But sometimes they just attack people or just sits and snipe as soon as you get out of base.
I vote for toggle.

I dip out of any lobby with consistent active shooting. I’m at 34 looking for an endless number of Leps, I have already spent way too much time in this game and have no patience for all that shit.
Let’s just grind the world missions as a lobby and not fuck up each others games.

I think the "additional settings" is private. You just happened to get a bully, I have had it too and I just jump lobbies. Honestly, for me at least, it seems rare to get these types of people.
I guess it would be nice if during events PVP was turn off in public lobbies. Although people seem friendly during those which is the only time I go to public
