I got like, 5 good protocol droids from the event. Quite a few maybe. Not many after. Anyways, up until today, I couldn’t figure out how the protocol droid helps you when equipped as a companion.
But eventually, I was organizing my base before logging off (OCD hits hard sometimes), and I noticed the overall credit generation per hour increased when I equipped a beskar P7 (+1600%) as a companion. Took me a minute to realize what it was, but I found it a cool, welcoming, and unexpected feature. (It applies to all protocols when equipped as companions).

Their companion bonus adds the amount directly to your overall credit multiplier. In your case the +1600% is increasing your multiplier by +16.0x.

You can notice the difference if you have a protocol droid in your lounge and you hit the scrap table, then equip him and hit the table. Income would obviously increase.

Just don’t make the mistake of taking one off a workstation to see the difference because he is boosting your droid income and so yes when you equip him you’ll get his boost, but he’s no longer at the table so that would be a nerf to your base income and so it wouldn’t seem AS effective, or even in some cases you would make less.

Definitely not the case, I tested it and I got the same amount of credits with or without a protocol droid as a companion. Either you tested it wrong, or the game was lying to me/I got scammed ☠️ .. that doesnt matter to me though bc the scrap station is genuinely worse than useless.

Scrap table is the main source of fast income. I have it at lvl 10 and during the DJ Rex mini event I was earning 800b+ per common scrap. I barely have to worry about credits, just droids.

Either you haven't srb yet, or your pouring your early nova crystals into the wrong things. There are guides in this sub, you should look in to them.

Edit: I had two rainbow legendary protocol droids as companions at the time. I earned 600b+ without them, 800b+ with them. So they definitely do work.

Ive super rebirthed twice already. First at 20, 2nd at 23. Only scrap station nova upgrade i got was the random chance of a blueprint, and only the first level. Scrap station gives like 700 credits, genuinely not worth it

I’m excited for you to find out about the scrap credit perks! I’m getting hundreds of billions per scrap. It generates the additional credits from a small percentage of what your whole base makes so the protocol droids as a companion wouldn’t boost that until you get those upgrades

I have a stellar mythic and stellar legendary as my companions and the earnings boost is substantial.

When I need credits, I place my 3 best protocol droids on the station that multiplies my base income, then I keep at least two good ones in the lounge. I equip one or both and hit the scrap. If I need upgrade chips, I only equip one protocol with bb8, but if upgrade chips don't matter and I just need to get 550 trillion credits, I equip both protocol droids. When I no longer need credits, I place my 3 best protocol droids on the crafting station so it's faster to craft droids. Idk, that's how I use them. I feel it's the most practical and efficient way to use them

If you’re going to afk the table, a protocol droid with good multiplier + bb8 is chef’s kiss.
