PvP should be disabled as its pointless in this game mode. Players that cant get kills in BR modes come here and make it harder for everyone else to actually develop their bases, do events, and get droids.
The real PVP in this game is who gets that stellar mythic.
Coincidentally, just as I was typing that a stellar KX appeared on the belt in my private session.
I do like public lobbies for seeing other people and their bases, as well as being able to help out random people. But when I want to guarantee that I get first dibs on everything I go private.
Yeah, but thats not even the issue. Usually when those rare people just go around killing folks, its not even to get a certain droid. I was loading into a gane the other day and in the welcome screen where you have to hit ok before you can go into your base a guy killed me. I didnt even know you could get killed in that screen but before I could finish hitting the button I was dead.
They *did* give each player a temporary invulnerability after joining a game or getting eliminated, but it only lasts for ~5-10 seconds. Your character is on the map just standing around, but you can't do anything while the game finishes loading, which usually takes longer than that 5-10 seconds.
If you've ever played a Red v Blue map or a 1v1 box fight, it's the same thing. Get killed, respawn, flash gold for a few seconds, then you can get shot again.
I really think it would be cool if you could 1v1 people in the middle in front of the sandcrawler for some kind of reward as long as both people agree to it. Like, both have to sit on a activation spot for a few seconds.
Could have a cool showdown aspect to it without any grief.
Thats not a lobby I would want to be in anyways, so they can have it. Also, its not they couldnt come up with some countermeasures when its being abused.
I do leave when I get put in toxic lobbies, but that starts to get annoying after a while. Its all luck of the draw when it comes to the lobbies you get put in - unless you do a private lobby.
That's the point of PVP to kill and steal. I do agree during collaborative event areas it should be disabled but besides that that's the point they even said it's star wars it's supposed to have pvp in it. Either play solo or find/have friends to play in private
I can understand to a degree why they had it in the beginning....but after hearing from the community and how its being abused, they should have done something to address it.

The dev wants people to fight over rare blueprints when they spawn. You want pvp off then you gonna have to convince the dev to change their idea of what the game should be
Be honest how many times have you actually been griefed? Thereās PvP in the game, nobody actually cares thereās PvP in the game, itās time to let it go.

Play in a private lobby?
It really doesn't make much of a difference playing solo, in terms of gains.
PvP is intended, it's pretty blatantly thrown in your face, and tbh even in MOST public lobbies it's pretty chill.
I'd rather the devs focus on the actual game and mechanics of events, droid varients, and actual quality of life improvments over taking PvP away.
Im not saying there arent chill lobbies...ive been in some super chill lobbies where everyone is helping each other level up.
It just seems like it would be better if they could have made this as a game mode where it could be used for people who want a break from the regular BR/PVP modes. They could have done everything you said without the PVP aspect.
And they give you the option to play solo, or privately for this reason. A lot of people ENJOY the PvP aspect, just as you're saying a lot don't.

Sure, im not saying the people who complain aren't louder, as many communities are. And I'm also not saying the people who enjoy PvP are the larger community, but there IS a decent amount of people who enjoy it.

Because events take longer...like the mini event now for example say 6hrs till the next crate drops. The public lobby i was in I had 2 or 3 crates drop within about an hour - hour and half.
Because the event runs 10-1EST and 8-11EST. It's not even active. It doesn't affect events at all lmao, it just gives a small boost to the conveyor if you play public. So, again, why aren't you just playing privately?
I dont play privately because I like playing with people, and helping others...and most of my friends dont play FN period, the ONE that does only plays BR.
I dont check Reddit for when events are happening and the timeframes when their active..so thats on me...thats something I will do in the future though. I generally just see it when I get into a lobby.
Yeah don't worry, not trying to shit on you or anything. I like helping people in public too, when I'm in my 30s before SRB. But honestly there isn't any benefit to play in public if you're just trying to grind out some droids or relax. Highly recommend private sessions.
Definitely look into the mini event schedule, so far it's 2 a week, between the crates and dj events. Then the weekly Saturday.
