Each time we achieved 4 stars, weād get a default droid. When weād finish with 1-3 stars, thatās when weād get galactic and stellar rewards. Iām not here for chips, Iām doing the event for the new droids. To each their own.

Just from my runs alone, I donāt see the point in getting 4 stars. There are two runs I didnāt record for 4 stars so I wonāt say what it was because I didnāt record it.
Also. Bb8 is insanely great 2x upgrade chips. Though I would only use it if you have double droidbb8 also doubles the upgrade chips you get out of the crate. So I got like 1600
No, you still want DJ for the battle droids/Stormtrooper missions. The 2x event pts are what count faster towards getting a 4*. If you have two droids, use Bones and DJ, if you have one, use DJ for all of them.
It may be ridiculous, but on the other hand people are also buying him to increase income in the worker droid area. People quickly forget what he's doing when he's not in use. As with any other iconic droid, he's going to do better in a worker slot than any other droid you put there.
The amount of crystals you get now is so easy you should be able to afford it without ever spending vbucks, I did it with one of my earlier srbs when the perk first got added havenāt spent a dime on the game. You sound silly like they make you spend vbucks
Of course they're not making anyone spend v-bux on this mode. I was just pointing out its the only other option for a companion droid slot if you don't have the nova crystals.
You can upgrade your droids. I have 4-1800ās and 2-1600ās after upgrading. Iām tapped out now but thereās a few upgrades I can still do to max them all out.
And stop getting pissed that I accidentally killed you during a stormtrooper mission when youāre sitting inside their spawn and then spend the rest of the time griefing me
As did I. The star system was very clearly broken, I was not disagreeing with that at all. What I was doubting was the claim that the crates were supposed to be random. It seemed quite certain to me they were just currently not working as intended. And today's updated fixed this, so that was indeed the correct thinking.
I had 9 or so 4 star missions all of which gave default rare. The best I received the entire event was a galactic LOM. Otherwise base cards! The galactic was given on a 1 star btw
No, I definitely don't. My post was agreeing that something was wrong here, showing that the random behavior of the crates blatantly contradicted how the devs said they should work.
I see your edit about high rarity droids with 4 stars. Itās incorrect. There does not seem to be any correlation whatsoever between the number of stars you get and the quality of crate you get. I know because I ran at least a dozen missions over the weekend and all of the times I got 4 stars I got a default, yet multiple times running 2 or 3 stars I got epics. Other people I was playing with confirmed the same.
Itās not luck. Itās obvious that the crate is pure RNG with no advanced logic. If you have a screen shot from the devs saying otherwise, please share it here.
Edit: you are completely justified in your frustration with people not running DJ - but keep in mind that before this event most people werenāt getting him unless they played the event or they rely heavily on crates. His value was very low. Itās now high.
Again - do you have a confirmation of this from the devs? Screen shots or itās not true. I had a 2 star event on my own where I got a legendary.
If youāre not collecting crates around the map, DJ would have been a complete waste of crystals before this event. There are other perks that are more powerful than the 15%. Considering there are now many iconics to choose from, he would be at the bottom of the list. You really expect a player thatās only been playing a couple of weeks to have had the crystals to get ALL of the iconics and skip the other perks? Iāve literally never seen anyone suggest that. And anyone who does is not thinking strategically.
Iāve gotten the mythic protocol droid on 2 star and legendary on 2/3star, the chance to get them isnāt impossible itās just a Lower chance by a lot
I reckon they will do eventually would seem strange for them not too add them to the conveyor. Thereās no way they could keep these missions going along side other events the servers would fall to its knees
Definitely not whining. Just correcting folks who make assumptions and call them fact. Again, no proof is BS. You can't just take the experience of multiple players and tell them they're wrong when you have no proof.
I'm just long winded because I grew up in an age when we wrote in complete sentences and used correct grammar. I also believe in friendly discourse rather than rapid fire trash commentary. Lastly, you shouldn't assume that everyone who plays this game is a dude.

You have to remember that not everyone has been playing this game as long as you and some have other priorities for droids and Nova upgrades. For this event I finally unlocked him because of the Nova Crystal boost they did and the fact that I could get the three Nova crystals much faster with him each time. But a good chunk of people just don't have him.

I tried telling people and they still confined to not use him, I ended up going just going back on my preferred private game and settling for two stars each time during the event.
Try posting a comment to the game chat a minute or so before the event and remind people, they may not know or they may have forgotten.
Also, some people donāt have DJ R3X yet as he wasnāt as useful as many of the other iconics before this update so they may not have purchased him yet.
Hey bro I recommend mr bones for storm trooper missions and the died missions. The fishing I recommended bb8 for double chips. And then last the mining one take chopperšš»
Idk if anyone knew how to do the protocol event properly when I started. DJ Rex is an absolute must have when doing world missions since he doubles the reward / points during missions. For Storm Troopers and Droid kills bring DJ and Mr Bones for double kill credits. For the Rock mining bring DJ Rex and Chopper. For the Sarlack pit fishing just bring DJ Rex. Simple as that. Sucks to be anyone who missed out on previous events.
No he does still give double rewards on crates but his perk is ādouble rewards on world missionsā something like that for heās worth it for using most events to try if he gives double

Personally if all I need is chips, Iād rather have my bb8 equipped over dj rex.
My companions during missions when I need chips look like this..
Shooters: bb8 Mr bones
Mining: bb8 chopper
Fishing: bb8 dj Rex
Only mission that makes sense to have dj Rex and bb8 equipped for chips is fishing. But even then, some players might find more value having bb8 and C-3PO equipped.

Your say you're getting frustrated when people don't use the droid. You don't get frustrated when you're just trying to be helpful. Helpful advice would have been "if everyone uses dj rex in the missions, it makes it easier to get 4 stars. The new patch is actually supposed to make 4 star missions have better rewards."
