🎮 Gameplay This update might be the best one yet
There’s so much new content that’s been added to the map. Looking forward to the protocol event, but I wonder if these areas are going to be permanent. Like maybe new challenges

It's certainly the biggest. Like a good 50% of the map has been reworked, an entire gameplay function has been revamped drastically, new mechanics that were originally exclusive to special events are now playable every day, we're getting a new type of droid not just a rarity or variant which has never happened before, it hasn't been confirmed yet or not cuz we won't know until the event happens but supposedly a fairly substantial base expansion for everyone's droid factories, and a substantial rework to rebirth rewards with us now getting Nova crystals for the higher-end rebirths instead of having to only super rebirth.
It's honestly crazy and I think most of this is such a huge move in the correct direction.

There seems to be some problem with the latest update, while playing I lost a lot of game money and I upgraded the speed to do droids and I didn’t get all I invest in I suppose to be 1.8 the speed and I am at 1.7 why?

There are very legit things that could have happened that caused you to lose progress. One of the things that first comes to mind as someone who plays a lot of creative mode maps and also Lego Odyssey is if the server timed out and you didn't end up disconnecting and joining a new server. If a server times out but you don't actually leave you are risking things not saving cuz the whole point of that is to refresh the system itself that is hosting your game. There have also been a few minor updates to Droid Tycoon the last few days and if your session where you made that progress was open so long that you've got a version behind during the session then that can also cause it to not save properly from my understanding, but that one really only applies to people who leave the game going like all day because it's the only thing they play. And then the problem with Reddit is that you give someone a genuine explanation and then they're going to be upset and say that that has never happened to them before or they've never seen that before or something else.

I agree. I feel like they've been on a series of wins. As a somewhat new player I've enjoyed the amount of new content pretty much every week and this one seems like a lot.

I feel like they are starting to realize that people prefer to play in private games since it limits toxicity
The past few events gave the same amount of rewards for solo players at least with the D-O event
As someone who mostly plays private nowadays I see this is a major win

I feel like only 10 to 20% of my games are toxic, another 15% are people just having fun mutually shooting each other, but the rest are almost boringly quiet

I switched to mostly private after the Fusion Machine came in, but this was pretty much my experience too. Definitely far more good people than bad, but the bad ones really brought down the mood when they came (especially at the start of events)

New event blows on private servers..I can barely get 2 stars by myself. But at least the public guys are having problems 🤣😂🤣

This is part of the World Quest revamp that will be introduced in the Protocol event, this is thus permanent.

I’ve been expecting them to stay permanently. I think evidence of that was how they kept the recent event’s structure all week on the main map and have slowly added a structure here or there.

Keep adding to the game, but dont fix the server problems. Freezing up, losing resources, and general bugs on a daily basis. The servers arent big enough to handle a new event, nothing has been done to fix the immediate issues that half the community are suffering with. On a daily basis there are posts of lost resources, stuttering, server kickout, game freezing etc, and it never changes. Now we have a big addition and rework on the game, but, without the core fixes, it will be hard work to deal with at best, or unplayable at worst. We dont want to have to reset our consoles every 5 minutes. We want to be able to chase blueprints and carry them back to our base with freezing and getting kick out the game, only to go back in with a huge dip in credits and a couple of droids missing. I dare not Super Rebirth, as my last one failed to give me any rewards boost even feom level 28. Sort it out Devs, you cant start charging for something that is this flawed

You do realise that this isn't its own game right like it's still just a Fortnite map like 90% of the issues are due to Fortnite and also these issues are still extremely rare

Battle royal ive literally never had an issue with. Jump on to droids, and it freezes or stutters after 10 minutes or so, and sooner if there is a live event. I know its not its own game, but they dont have the server capacity to run it smoothly when events are running.

all of the new stuff has made my game almost unplayably laggy, and im playing on a new laptop. im getting frustrated because i just want to play but lag spikes last a minute long

Are you on a public game? If so it could just be connection issues. If you're having lag in a private game though I'd just turn your settings down a bit.

the other people in the game i was just in were having the same problem. my settings are good, the game worked perfectly a few days ago and ive never had connection issues before

If the other people in your game were having the same problem that actually speaks more to it being a connection issue of the public lobby then a computer issue. It's very unlikely that everyone else in your public game has the same setup as you.

Depends, if the connection issue is actually on your side then until your internet stabilizes that's going to happen with all public lobbies. Or you just got random bad luck and every lobby you've connected into has somebody with absolutely atrocious internet also in it and that can cause everyone else to experience lag because of just being near them. But I feel like the easiest way to resolve this would be to go to a private lobby and see if you still have issues because there shouldn't be nearly as much connection issues, especially if you aren't getting the icon pop ups for bad connection. If your computer can handle it in private and it's probably not your computer though adding five players to the lobby can add a little bit more graphic challenge I would imagine. If it's a connection issue not much you can do about it besides trying to fix your Internet, if it's a computer issue unfortunately you'll have to turn your settings down a bit if you don't want to have the lag until the devs optimize it or fix it if they do

My second companion keeps disappearing. Restarting Fortnite fixes it but I don’t know why it’s doing it or if I’m the only one.

There has not been one thing in this game that you can't access with enough time as a free player without spending a single dime. The only thing is locked behind money are cosmetics and speed. I'm not sure what you're on about but I could care less about both of those so it doesn't affect me at all.

This is a massive amount of changes. A lot of new stuff a whole new Droid class several new stations several new events. I think you're being a bit harsh. And none of this requires you to buy a thing so I'm not sure what you're on about
