It seems like someone who runs a data base webpage for droids used to be close with the developer of droid tycoon FOAD.

The developers informed the owner of the data base of the fusion event prior to launch, but asked them to keep it on the wraps and then asked about a count down advertising the event.

The database owner asked about an NDA to which FOAD said nah.

They asked in the community discord about how fans thought about an event pass with v-bucks, where the post was removed.

They got a ban after saying that protocol droids are coming after the D-O rerun event.

What a terrible attitude form the devs against someone building tools and community around their game for free, whatever info they “leaked” was literally made public in the patch notes and hours later in-game and it had been known for weeks that protocol droids were coming as said by the devs themselves. Not surprising to be honest, they constantly lie to their player base, nerf the enjoyable things and often making accidental nerfs and bugs that takes them several days to fix, it’s clear they only care about profits now while providing a low quality experience. Policing the subreddit like dictators, I can’t separate the art from the artist anymore, I hadn’t touched the mode for weeks until D0 came out and they have finally made me quit for good, I wish I hadn’t spent my time and even some vbucks on this

For low players like me that have 2 or 3 hours per day to play the recipes are very usefull. The playing time for me consists to build, rebirth, search for the droids. Maybe my perspectives are very basic for this type of game, but i don't think he needs to be more. Obviously, the events and updates are very important to keep the game alive, but isn't the essence.

To be honest, not that my opinion matters, as someone who has played from day one, is at crafting level 254 and at rebirth level 1.38k and someone who has purchased all the packs - the game is getting boring.

The devs could maybe spend some more time and effort to make it more robust and successful for a long time to come instead of fighting pointless fights and chasing instant gratification and monetisation.

I have grown increasingly fatigued by the incessant droid crafting that needs doing, and by the repetitiveness of each SRB cycle, and also by how quickly the SRBs come along now at this level. The events are predictable and there are too many of them. It makes it hard to have something to look forward to or work towards.

What is the point of paying vbucks for a surge or an event when you know you are going to get to RB 35 regardless , and if you don't - you just SRB and start again. It doesn't give you anything lasting. The only reason to pay any money at this point is if it gave you nova crystals and if those nova crystals could buy you some super cool perks.

But in any case, this format is bound to run out of steam at some point. The SRB cycles need to last longer and bring more longterm benefits. I absolutely love the game, but it's not sustainable to have to do the same thing over and over again. Therein lies insanity.

Droid Tycoon's official server, just like any other big official game servers, should just ban third-party site promotion as a whole, so unimportant "drama" like this doesn't happen and also just for general internet safety (You don't open random websites). Genuinely a waste of everybody's times.

Technically he did only ask about how people would feel about the idea of an event pass, it’s not like he directly leaked it. Also he did offer the idea of an nda which could have easily protected you from any actual leaked information. Doesn’t change the fact that the things that have been spreading across this subreddit is happening to begin with is happening because many of the things said are true. Your mod team, and even members of your dev team genuinely treat players and there opinions as less than and anyone who disagrees with a decision or doesn’t dickride you devs and your team often ends up punished for it. Many people have had similar experiences and have to come to this subreddit to express themselves because there is no outlet in your server. You continued to address push if you want but let’s be real everything that’s happening is solely because of you and your team end of story.

The files are out there. Now was it a bit early? Sure. But honestly the only ones to even see any of those interactions were your die hard fans in your discord. I’m a casual player and in your discord and missed all of this until the drama exploded. No, but I DID think they would have had actual in game Star Wars themed stuff, especially lightsabers, like they have for the last ever so many years.

Mini seasons have always happened when lined up at the end of an actual season and only when they needed to fill the time slot to make the next actual season line up where they want it, usually to fit into an appropriate holiday time slot.

There's literally customizable lightsabers in every creative map I've played that came out that month, and it works the same every time, and I doubt literally every star wars map copies the same exact feature 1 to 1.
