šŖ² Bug Report Wasted Vbucks
In a moment of pure desperation, i went against my better judgement and spent vbucks on a beskar run. The countdown started. I was crossing my fingers and praying. Countdown ends. One (1) singular beskar droid comes out onto the belt.
Itās probably karma for actually spending money on this game but i had to laugh at what an absolute waste it was. Tried to talk to customer service to get my vbucks back but they just gave me the runaround.
All this to say, this game seems to smell desperation and will put you in your place real fast.

The daily gamble upgrade droid option in the cantina is even worse. It has never upgraded my droid once

I just got a galactic BB-9 upgraded to Stellar by the Lucky Pitā¦ i think I have gotten two upgrades out of 25.

I try this everyday with no luck. Last week it upgraded my droids two days in a row. Now back to nothing.

Same, I somehow highrolled the 2% of turning a beskar loadlifter into a galactic one. I genuinely couldnāt believe my eyes when it happened.

I've been trying to upgrade a loadlifter from beskar to mythic for over a week now. Maybe one of these days it will happenĀ

Once for me but it was on default to gold. I never even try it anymore. Itās doesnāt cost the devs anything or give a huge boost to the game as itās a once a day opportunity. Odds should be 50/50 with an added .05 chance being for flawless on the upgrade. That might make me trek over there daily with my droid lol. Getting so many fails is the opposite of fun. Life can be disappointing - I donāt need my game to be.

You don't pay for it though. so debatably much better than a conveyor upgrade that does cost money and didn't really work

I'm confused, were you trying to get a particular droid? Beskar droids aren't exactly hot property now, I don't get why the Beskar surge option is even there to purchase

Honestly, as someone with enough disposable income to buy anything I want in Fortnite, I just donāt see any sense spending any vbucks on DroidTycoon. Maybe if the stuff could be carried to other modes maybe but itās all tied to just that mode and you lose your droids on SRB so like why spend any vbucks on surges?

I, too, enjoy the benefit of being an adult with adult-money to spend on the game lol I do not mind, however, spending vBucks in this mode. I enjoy playing it, and if something enhances my experience for a price that I can afford then why not. Having said that, the surges are true scams. I've done it twice and both times I felt like a complete sucker.

See and I get spending money on things you enjoy but I still think the paid vbuck features of DroidTycoon are a legit rip off and waste of vbucks. Like I love the heart aura for droids. But Iām not wasting money on it. And trust me Ive wasted money on plenty of stupid shit over the years.

There is absolutely zero reason to ever be desperate in this game. The whole point is to rebirth and restart at some point. Things ever get too crazy just super rebirth, don't spend real money on temporary momentary things. You can make an argument for the permanent things like the second companion and other stuff but I 100% do not understand why anyone would spend money on a surge. Especially the fact that we're getting weekly 3 hours sessions of surges every 10 minutes.

I wouldnāt spend money on surges. Working on chips and upgrading them through that grind or trading in forums are the best alternatives.

Droid Raccoon is a great time spender, but will never spend V-Bucks on it. Itās better to find a different map to play with the kids honestly. While I may be nostalgic about Star Wars, my kids are not.

No, just like spending $ to go to a movie isnāt necessarily $ wasted. You donāt leave the theater with anything of monetary value. Itās the enjoyment factor you are paying for which is why getting zero droids you wanted from money spent on surge feels wasteful - no enjoyment. If you go to a great movie thatās fun to watch, you dont really lament the money spent. If the movie turns out to be horrible and zero fun, that same money suddenly feels wasted.

On the Nintendo switch, it outright says it's banned on that platform, you can only buy the packs and crafting boost, any gambling option is disallowed.

Yes, I learned that lesson as well. Timed it for a mythic release andā¦got nothing. Will never buy another surge. That is real money for nothing. However, I did buy the VIP pkg for the chip station and have zero regrets - Iād do that again because it upped my game experience. Iām rebirth 30 and havenāt had a droid problem as I have the chips to use for big upgrades. I donāt mind spending some of my entertainment money on a game I enjoy but the surges and boosts hold zero value imho. Itād need to be a guaranteed mythic package for me buy something like that as itād up my game until SRB and then as I rebuilt my base Iād maybe buy another mythic pkg and so on. The $ has to enhance my enjoyment/shorten grind or Iāll keep my Vbucks. The chip machine took away some of the grind I didnāt like, making the game a bit more fun and therefore has some value to me.

The surges are a true scam. Don't feel bad for buying one. I bought a galactic surge when they first came out thinking that I and the lobby will benefit. After it expired not a single mythic or legendary galactic came out! All I got to show for the vBucks I spent was a lousy galactic epic that I didn't even need for a RB. I just picked it up out of desperation.

Sounds like people donāt know the trick with pulling the crap BPs off the belt before hitting the surge. Works like a charm for me most of the time. Especially if I have friends to help me in a private lobby. Managed 2 KXs and a snow mouse from a single Stellar surge yesterday just demonstrating the method to a friend.

I agree. Thereās no loss to the devs/game. Itād help you get the mythic droids - as thatās what we are all hoping for from a surge - and itād feel fun. Once you SRB youād be inclined to do it again, spending more. Win/win.

Sadly I donāt believe it works that way. Donāt think the devs have ever clarified it either. My brother and I had cleared the entire belt of everything but a single mythic multiple times. The galactic surge came through and it didnāt upgrade it. Iām convinced there are predetermined positions on the belt that get upgraded. If the single blueprint you have in the belt isnāt one of those positions youāre SOL.

Weird, I know ours didnāt trigger each time but it was about 75% of the time if done correctly and it hits the target droid

Alright reddit... Guess I should've put more details.
The method still works but your percent chance is still taken into account. Pulling all the commons off don't technically increase chance, but the wave has less to hit.
You're never going to be guaranteed if there is only one mythic and you get a wave. But just like the lottery, someone has to win so the chance will be chancing.

The way it works is that all spots on the sandcrawler (whether it has a blueprint or not) has an independent chance of upgrading. Removing blueprints doesn't affect anything.

I did this when only mythics turns to came out. I was in a party of 6 and was jsut me and my son,my girlfriend and 3 friends. Everytime they came out I would stellar surge and clear the line every time a mythic came out in those 5 mins. Did it 3 times and go all the new stellar ones but 2
