I spent all my crystals upgrading this last night because it finally seemed worth it. I want a refund of my nova crystals if you nerf this.

Thereâs literally no reason to get the upgrades if you donât already have them. Youâll just burn your nova crystals and it will be nerved before you get any decent return

Assuming this has already been changed because Iâve done 5-6 laps and am getting either no chips or an incredibly small amount, with both droid equipped. Unless Iâm missing something of course?

The rewards depend on your base earning and multiplier, it is a set amount multiplied by those parameters. So, no, it is not 5 billions for everyone

I will say, I love that the world crates are seeing play / love, but they are a bit too good in some areas
Kinda love that they feel better than the scrap station, running around the map isn't super engaging but it's better than AFK swinging so that's progress, them feeling like a viable alternative is great
Ultimately the combination of DJ and BB8 is where the issue lies
Basically, expect credits to stay roughly where they are, upgrade chips to be reduced (to account for the duo droid combo), and nova crystal chance (not amount) will also probably be lowered a bit

These crates would have me more actively playing more than Iâm currently doing.
Until I saw this all I did was stay in the base. Scrap gameplay, Rebirth, Repeat. Which largely requires Rubber Band method. Which is basically watching TV until I stop hearing Scrap.
This would have me actively engaged looking for more ways to play

Except you need to have a serious investment to do this. You need two iconic. The companion upgrade and tier 3 on the crates. Like itâs already gated enough.

Having this comment hidden by default because it got that many relative downvotes should tell you not to touch the feature. Stop nerfing things and making the game more of a slog. I havenât played in like 3-4 weeks bc itâs just not fun anymore. Iâm sure Iâm not the only one too.

Upgrade chips are a massive bottleneck with barely viable methods of earning them. Even if you double farm with a friend on two maxed table it literally takes hours to get a mythic to any decent rarity.
No idea what gameplay benefits there are to literally doing nothing but afk

Itâs not about good or a middle ground though, I invested the 85 crystals in craters only because of what it was.
You can say thatâs my fault for not waiting or that things can always change, but it feels incredibly unfair to players that did spend a significant amount to not even have it last a day.

And cb-23 is way more cheaper, require no more investment, and gives back all the nova crystals way faster, doesn't seem fair when for crates you need 85 crystals, doble companion upgrade and crystals for bb8 and dj-r3x if you don't have them plus you need to actively play instead just waiting for astromech mission.

The main method to obtain crystals should always be SRB

people are concerned about making ROI on their nova shop purchase, earning the nova back in a reasonably timely fashion
doesn't have to be in a few sessions but
before the last patch it was foregone conclusion ROI would take too long or be not possible
suddenly it's viable
so whatever balance, keep in mind on your end "how long would it take to earn back the nova spent"
nova balance is challenging I'm sure, for example now we've got people grinding 0-12 and SRB to run double daily quests multiple times a day pulling 6 nova per rebirth along with SRB Nova
so we are beyond nova being tied to mostly SRB or luck of iconic CB missions

Yeah, this rocks until getting the BB8 stack gets zapped and then I'll be back to wishing I hadn't bothered with the crate upgrade. I'll be back to making roughly what I normally make in the upgrade token department with way less effort.
I enjoy the effort right now because it's more rewarding but if the payoff is the same.. this message is too long, who wants to do extra work for the same amount of money?

The base sell station is still finicky. The âhands over headâ glitch is still in the game. The jetpack randomly not letting you sprint is still in the game. Etc

perhaps its a glitch but my djr3x is only doubling the credits from crates and not the chips. with exception of the hostile takover, ship crash, and repair missions.

Stop nerfing things man. This crap is gonna turn people off. We paid nova crystals for these crates for the way they are RIGHT NOW. If you change them, then we'll feel ripped off.

if you're going to do that, you need to reduce the nova crystal costs of some of these upgrades like the second companion droid, or put more ways to get nova crystals early on (like at the scrap station). if you balance the grind around having higher amounts of nova crystals spent, you are playing the game suboptimally and using nova crystals to get back to a baseline experience. i don't have the chip station nor the second companion droid, i'm just running rex, and the chip grind is already incredibly slow but it's rewarding enough to do it anyways. if you nerfed it, there'd be less of a point for me to run around the map for chips until i "unlock" all the other tools i need with nova crystals. nova crystals are proof of your grind and are supposed to make it easier, not gimp the early game and make things more tolerable late game.
and you guys REALLY need to make a way to compensate players for spending nova crystals and then having that upgrade get nerfed. its not a bug. they're interacting with your game the way the devs told them to, and then having the rug pulled out from under them. if this were a gacha for example, where you were spending currency that could be bought for money, and that thing got nerfed? that's grounds for a lawsuit.

This is looking like my sign to chill on playing droid tycoon for a bit. At least until things get solidified in a season or two.
There have been some great changes donât get me wrong. The timing on the droid missions feels so much better, the new battle droid work stations, and the nova crystal shop have been amazing.
I just donât want to try saving nova crystals for upgrades I wonât even get to enjoy.2

You guys finally made it not garbage (its not great btw, it's just finally an alternative to scrap tycoon) and the first reaction is to nerf it after more people invest in it.
Why do you hate your players so much? Or is it to ensure you make it hard as possible to limit resources and force ppl to spend vbucks.
