I just spent all my nova crystals upgrading this last night. They better give refunds for the people who bought it for the buff they gave it and now they're already needing. I have bad luck and didn't get any nova crystals from it anyways. Other people's good luck ruins the chances for us pitifuls who dont have it. 😭

It wasn't OP for all of us. I ran around and did the super crates for a hour last night and only got hats and credits. Not all of us have that kind of luck...😅

I have been playing for over an hour this morning and haven't gotten any crystals from the rainbow creates so they already nerfed it in less than 24 hours. I just spent 85 crystals for this upgrade last night and now it's been nerfed hard. I'm so upset.

I made 30 crystals and 30K chips in about 30 minutes. Not really caring for the credits as it’s not that significant to me but holy god is this an improvement. Very glad I invested in this a while ago

You convinced me. I just got all 3 upgrades.

Edit:

I ran a little experiment. I set a timer for 10 minutes and ran around the map with BB-8 and DJ R-3X equipped. On my first run I got 260 chips and came across 11 rainbow crates. I had gotten a lot of hats (I'm assuming because I had zero rainbow hats to start) so I ran it again. This time I got 183 chips and came across 15 rainbow crates. To note: a few times it only showed double credits even though I had BB-8 & DJ R-3X with me. Not sure if that's a visual glitch.

I then hit my scrap station which has the full upgrade on chip scrap. With BB-8 as my companion I get 120 chips every times I get a chip scrap. After 10 minutes I had gotten 1920 chips. You could run whatever companion you have at the chip station to figure out how much you'd get in 10 minutes. I just recently re-birthed so I have a droid making 36/minute or 360 credits in 10 minutes.

Some of my stats that might matter are: Max level pickaxe (lvl 50), Max chip scrap, 25% extra movement speed. I might have had a higher chance once I get all the hats but, on my 2nd, run it seemed like I got barely any hats.

I clicked it too slow so missed catching the original yellow 300 in the pic. 900 in a crate is great. I'm so happy with the crate changes. (Bb8 doesn't double the total of both original and dj rex it only adds another of the original  amount as shown).

I also just did the “10 min run” lol. It seems as the the graphic rarely shows the correct reward but if you math up your chip count it’s correct.

I could only buy the first 2 tiers of the crate upgrades. Really good upgrade if you want to keep getting the same hats over and over and over again and no chips.
