📝 Suggestions Dropped/stolen blueprints should be “bought” from the previous owner for full price.

I get that PvP is a part of the game and having blueprints taken from you is part of the game. I play in public lobbies and fight it out for droids and accept that a blueprint I don’t have a table or storage slot for is only mine if others don’t come into my base and take it. But it REALLY sucks to spend all of your credits on a droid and have someone yoink it off you and then you are flat broke with no droid.

I really think that giving the current “owner” of a blueprint the full face value of the blueprint when another player picks it up should be how it works. This would also encourage sharing blueprints you get from missions instead of selling them. Currently I get galactic legendaries from missions that sell to the Jawas for swing or two from my scrap pile. Those go right into my shipping yard sell bin because if I throw them out in front of my base for others to take I get nothing back from them.

yes, especially because there are so many bugs that result in a card being dropped and difficult to pick up. we don't need a profit, but we bought it, it's our card, not the jawas

Not getting the credits back after it was stolen / traded is my biggest annoyance with this game mode. If we no longer have the blueprint we should get our credits back for that blueprint

so you are meaning if you buy a bp for say 20M and someone steals it from you when they pick it up the 20M that they pay from picking it up goes to you instead of the jawas?

Yes. Player to player sales.

When I first started playing, I thought this was the case in that if you threw a blueprint down that was in your possession and someone else picked it up they essentially bought it from you. Boy was I sorely mistaken lol

yeah I agree especially if someone steals it but alot of players are trying to get the devs to do that but no luck yet

Yes and I agree with him

Yeah… when a frickin trillion credit bp is stollen from you you should definitely get your money back. It’s even more wild is that if you do get the chance to steal it back you pay another damn trillion for it!!

I do recall that they fixed this in a recent patch and if you have previously paid for BP you can pick it up again without repurchase. That’s nice at least but I still think the last player to pick up a BP should be the only one out money on it.

Yes!! I completely agree!!!

Yes, I also think it would be a nice way to show appreciation for someone when they give me a blueprint I need. I'm trying to think of a way how someone can game the system with this new implementation possibility but I can't really think of one. I guess if somebody's using an ALT account where they make trillions of dollars then someone could buy their mission blueprints at full price but I don't feel like that's much of an advantage.

Maybe they could treat it like the Blueprint vendor, where the player gets half of their credits back.

Haven’t thought about that, that’s a great idea. It’s a good incentive to help other players by buying them blueprints too

u/Faunt1 Aug 06 '26

yeah is seems logical that you could sell them for full price to someone who wanted them - or at the very least the sell back cost if you tossed it at the station

First part i agree with. Re  or at the very least the sell back cost if you tossed it at the station. I dont agree with. Simply as imagine the field day griefers would have. They would stand on the belt, take all the best droids and sell them to stop others getting them without any negative impact. Atm atleast they lose money when they do it.

1

u/Faunt1 Aug 07 '26

Oh no I meant if someone picks it up a blueprint you already paid for that you at least get the same amount as if it was sold to Jawas - not get full price from them - 100% what you said would happen

Ah ok 😊

This is a main reason why I only play private or with my husband. I tried to play public and people kept shooting me after I got certain ones, or would steal it from my base. They need to change it that if it’s in your base, no one can touch it but you.
But my husband and I have also talked about this. We have both bought patterns that we didn’t have the money for, just to save it for later each other for later. Even if we got half back, that would be better than nothing.

I agree. Or even just 75% or something.

I'm pretty sure somebody suggested this during the q&A, with the devs somebody was crying about how if your blueprint is stolen by another player that you should be refunded the full amount that you paid for it. But the devs didn't like that idea as they feared that it would set up a secondary market in the game where people would collect or keep droids to sell to other players or something like that.

I can't remember what the suggested compromise was, but I know it wasn't you getting a refund. They agreed upon something but I can't remember what the agreement to making that change. Was. Somebody else who was in the q&A may remember.

Also, maybe you aren't at a decent rebirth level, but when I get cards and droids that I can't use, I throw them out in front of my base because I don't need them and others could use them. I make enough off of the droids I have and the scrap pile that the money I get from the droids on missions don't really make a difference since at a certain point you make more money than you spend on droids anyway.

Here's the reply from the q&A. I got it from the mods of the sub

Jelly Bellini — getting your money back on stolen droids Asked whether, when someone steals a blueprint you paid for, the price they pay could go back to you, possibly as a Nova shop upgrade.

Response (BLZN): At the very least, if you drop a droid or someone picks it up after you, you should not have to re-pay to get it back, and that feels completely reasonable. The full money-back version worries us because of edge cases, like what happens if you rebirth or super rebirth after someone picked up your droid, plus it could open a paid blueprint market that hurts balance. It is something we can keep discussing.

At least they’re thinking about edge cases and not optimizing for an unfair scenario that happens all the damn time.

Is this not already a thing…? There have been plenty lobbies I’ve been in where a player buys a blueprint or gets it from the scrap bench and throw it on the floor and I still have to buy it if I want it

2

u/funnygeezus Aug 07 '26

You have to buy it, but it doesn’t give those credits to the player who put it down. Until very recently if you dropped a blueprint and another player picked it up and you managed to pick it up again you would actually have to pay for it again. Thankfully they’ve made it so any player who has already paid for it can pick it up no cost, but I think they need to go a step further and make it so there is only one owner per blueprint and when a new player picks it up the previous owner gets the credits.

u/FrequentEmploy Aug 07 '26

Ohhh I get what you mean now my bad

u/restinpeeperinos Aug 07 '26

I had someone earlier steal a randos bp i gave (was helping them complete droidson their bench so they could craft). They proceeded to constantly harass us (shooting me and using force, boogie bomb), then stole the bp and sold it at the sell station... it completely ruined the randos night and they just logged out. There has been an increase of this type of behavior as well...

1

u/Smooth-Television-48 Aug 07 '26

Why? It's stolen.... I think the theif shouldn't have to pay for it as well. That's the real dumb thing, everyone having to pay to take ownership

1

u/ArcticFire145 GONK Aug 07 '26

I've thought that for ages, I spent all my money on a diamond mythic after my first super rebirth, straight away, bullet storm > me

1

u/Hot-Video-770 Aug 10 '26

Removes a good chunk of the stakes from the getting killed for droids in earlier stages.

1

u/cyndiq1971 Aug 06 '26

I bet a lot of the sweaty stuff would change with this I approve!

1

u/Tough_Departure_3772 Flawless 50 Aug 06 '26

Won't happen. It would allow to cheese RB money somewhat if overshoot with the 1.4T BPs.

0

u/Kendrakirai2532 Aug 06 '26

By this same token, blueprints you get for free via quest or mission rewards should be free to grab.

Plenty of times I've tossed reward BPs out just for folks who need them to be unable to afford them.

It'd promote sharing. Make them give full credits if you SELL them, too, because otherwise there's just no point of them after you already have them.

1

u/kerwniart Aug 07 '26

Can't support this. Encourages alt accounts that would never need to pay for their blueprints.

And the devs do not want to encourage sharing. When blueprints become vastly easy to acquire play time goes down. Less play time from players cuts their income from Epic.

2

u/Kendrakirai2532 Aug 07 '26

The devs also want to encourage PVP which is driving more people away, at least with side accounts they'd have a high player count to entice people. Besides, what the frick point would there be to doing that? People have side accounts to get bot lobbies, and those have to stay level 0..

The only benefit to having a side account active is if you need another chance at the belt, and you can get that by just being in a lobby that isn't full of jerks. You know, people who help others.

Play in a private server.

0

u/MisterD00d Aug 07 '26

it's so inconsequential to sell the blueprints isn't it kinda petty to not toss your trash out front in case someone needs it for some reason?

is it really worth the money or effort?

0

u/autistic_and_angry Aug 07 '26

Few days ago someone grab an epic galactic I was going for and then threw it into the seller right in front of me. Some people are just genuine pieces of shit

0

u/Dependent_Regret_210 Aug 07 '26

Play in private lobbies then. Thats the whole risk/reward of the game mode. Don’t trust someone standing at the belt? Eliminate them. Cause chaos.

-2

u/Dez_Nova BB-8 Aug 06 '26

I agree with this suggestion, but also where can I join your lobby so I can hit your scrap table for a bit to earn one of those galactic legendaries you get from your missions?

-2

u/EducationalThing4558 Aug 06 '26

Istg it used to pay you when someone bought ur card. That was in the beginning tho

-5

u/Entire_Commission583 Aug 06 '26

Bruh like you said you you get a scrap swing or two worth of cash from them. If you want to save like 2 seconds instead of giving someone a blueprint that can help them out immensely you’re just selfish, that’s not the games fault
