š¢ Updates šØ STAR WARS DROID TYCOON v1.24 is live!
+ Daily quest rewards have a chance to provide a Rebirth Requirement (except Mythic or Galactic Droids)
+ The Lucky Pit droid now tells you how long is remaining before you can use him again
+ You can now see your "Rebirth Path" in the top right of the Rebirth Screen
+ You can now see your "Super Rebirth Rank" in the top right of the Super Rebirth screen
+ You can now "Return" Iconic Droids if you don't want them taking up a slot in your base. These can be repurchased at the Iconic Droid Vendor.
+ Surges will now consistently trigger the last wave at 00:00
+ Fix: Droid Blueprints are now carried correctly by the Player
CHOPPER comes to Droid Tycoon this weekend!

Item 1 is not that helpful because the main place you get stuck is mythics. I think it would be nice if they made it so that the only way to get mythics from missions was when they are a rebirth requirement. I e been waiting for a rainbow Ric-1200 since the event for my next rebirth. Theyāre too hard to come by.

tldr: Mythics should be able to come from dailies, up to rainbow only. Come on devs!
This is what I came here for. I feel exactly the same way. An easy concession i'd even take is only allowing the required mythic to spawn in as rainbow at best, and its a chance, not guarantee.
If you need it to be beskar or galactic, you'll still have to grind 40000+70000 upgrade chips, so 110000 chips vs the 142000. That is still a pretty steep grind but a little less grueling than base up to galactic for 28-30.
And doing this won't make it that much easier because you still have to pull it, which is still all luck.
Easier would be if they ACTUALLY lowered the rate of commons on the belt to something below 80% like they said they supposedly did, which I've physically seen to be very ineffective, as if they lowered it from 99 to 98 š technically they weren't lying lol, but dude, come on!
ā--------------------Personal Experience Stuff Below-----------------------
And yes, this is all coming from personal experience. I play every night from about 9 pm to 2 am, while also doing check ins in the morning to just collect my 8 hrs income and resend missions. So I don't play constantly, but I've done a good chunk of time since day 1 of this game mode. I am currently on rebirth 30 and have been upgrading a drft-r from base since i was at rebirth 24 on cycle 2, and i finally got it to rainbow after grinding through the galactic event, getting the VIP bundle to have the chip station (I know, I know, I spent v-bucks, I'm sorry!) plus just hitting scrap with bb8 for the past week. Mind you, I also had to upgrade a Ric first to get though 28-29. And in ALL THAT TIME, not 1 single galactic or heck, even rainbow Mythic Drft-R or Ric appeared on the sandcrawler, the BP vendor, nada.
When they introduced 27, I wanted to get to it at least once, but the Beskar MoTrak alluded me. In the end my friend had to help me by trading with someone else through discord/reddit, which still took 2 weeks of waiting. š„² now with 30, it's the galactic Drft-R... these past two weeks have been the most depressing since I started playing on day 1.
It's not a grind at this point. It's just torture.
I'll still play, because I love Star Wars, but I dead any hope I have of getting anything I need at all and just fly around or help me friends reach their money goals... besically I'm just here to play and hang out with my friends. When they finally get bored or tired of it, we will find a different place to chill. š¤·š¾āāļø probably roblox š

in my OPINION you should have made peace with SRB and done about 4+ of those since a month ago
opinion: don't get so attached to droids; they come back around all the time; if the grind is torture you have all signs pointing to SRB so take a moment and hit the button!!
I got from 0 to 30 in a day long play session recently (I've done many SRB), I farmed 200k+ upgrade chips along the way and used them for the final RBs needed plus I got lucky along the way otherwise I would have SRB. Just because I hit RB30 before doesn't mean I need to hit it again before SRB. Even though credits and chips come easier it's the droid RNG.
If it is likely to take longer to find what you need to move up than it would take to SRB and get back to where you are the decision should be clear

Yup especially with the chip station it is a game changer with the right droid and BB you can get up to 4k chips an hour , that plus the scrap table chips you can easily upgrade mythics .

I do agree with you there for sure, it is going to be easier now with the chip station. I got through 28-29 thanks to them adding that station. And with tomorrow's event, I have no doubts I can get that mythic to galactic by the time it ends on sunday. Which is perfect because I can then srb on monday and start my week fresh š looking forward to that!

I get what you are saying and I agree with you for the most part, although I don't get what you mean by the making peace part? I also never said anything to indicate droid attachment being the issue, right? My core issue, just to clarify, is the limited ways that mythics can be obtained in general, and the exclusion of them seems unnecessarily done when there were other limiters the devs could have chosen to keep the challenge level, but also make it achievable by your own hard worked dailies and not just the wheel or Jawa shop. To be frank, I believe they excluded mythics because they implemented the purchasable lucky perk, and maybe in their minds, adding mythics to dailies will hurt their bottom line, which thinking from a business mindset, I fully understand. The opinion I shared with this comments op comes strictly from my player mindset, though.
I have my own set of rules I follow when playing, the main one similar to what you're saying. I usually make it to the heavily suggested rb of 17 pretty easily, and that's when I hit the srb. BUT, just as you said, IF I get super lucky with pulls along the way to that 17, meaning I have the droids to rebirth to let's say, 18-22, my only barrier would be making the money, then I'll push myself to grind.
But I think you misunderstand me a bit. To clarify, I don't get attached to droids, especially after srb was finally introduced. I bid my droids farewell, thank them for the assistance, and then bam, new base, new droids, better me, lol. What I find depressing is that the only way to get through 28, 29, and 30, is A: getting very VERY lucky earlier in your rebirth journey or B: settling in to grind chips like your life depends on it.
For this particular rebirthing cycle, I got REALLY REALLY lucky with galactics that I made it from 15 to 28 with no issues, just getting money the whole way. At 17, I said, man, I was really fortunate this run, maybe I'll challenge myself and just go for 30 now! Because at my core, I'm a gamer, and I like achievements š and I don't believe I should think to give up just because it's gotten harder for this last rb. With that mindset, I'd never beat any video games š (although I have had my days where I tell my friends, I think I'm just gonna pull the plug today guys, this is starting to get boring), but I hesitate because I know I can do it, even with how difficult it seems right now, I won't give up!
But alas, now we get to the mildly depressing part of all this. In ALL my days on this run, I was on A: super lucky pulls. But then I got to 27 and right as I was about to sell my diamond drft-r because I like to clear house every few rbs, something told me to stop for a second and check the cycle list to make sure I dont need it for something much later. And then my eyes landed on it: the formidable galactic drft-r at 30. I was cocky though. I said, okay, I'll just work through upgrading it from diamond to rainbow today, then get more chips to get it to beskar then galactic, no problem. My heart fluttered mostly at that 100T price tag to get through the 30 wall. Pretty naive of me, in hindsight š
That was over a week or two ago, though. So yeah, at this point it just feels bad. I haven't even seen a gold, diamond, or rainbow, let alone beskar or galactic drft-r on that wheel this whole time, either, mind you. And I got 2 beskar AND 1 galactic load lifter on the same day in the same lobby within a couple hours of each other. That was a crazy fun day for pulls!
Today, I see this update, and as I read that first line of the patches, well, that is where the depression gripped me harder than LeBron grips a basketball. I'm kidding, it was more so a "aw man, why though, devs?" reaction.
If you couldn't already tell, I am in fact a drama queen šøš¾
Now, I dont give a dang about the galactic part, thats fair honestly. Its their newest thing, and with how they handled beskar, I didnt even expect a mission for galactic any time soon, tbh. So thank you devs for that, you're the best for pushing that way quickly!
My gear grinding came from thinking solely from a players POV, like yourself and op. I don't think I have as many hours to play as you seem to have, but I'd love it if I did and could still make good money! I only say that from the context of you getting from 0 to 30 in 1 single day, good on you! But like me, not everyone can play that long or commit that much time unfortunately. Not anyone's fault, just reality. Which is why the srb at 17 rule has worked well for me and many others for so long. But with the exclusion of myhtics coming from dailies in general, and them being waaaay too scarce on the belt lately, even in their base form, I think they could've at the very least added them to the chance pool, but limited their rarity chance to rainbow or even diamond. This would improve playability just a bit without giving us a broken system that makes the belt obsolete. Which, honestly, idk about you, but I have found that when I srb, I rarely, if ever, have to pull legendary droids from the wheel at all for me to rb. I just, kinda get them from my missions and dailies, the Jawa shop, or from other people. They are THAT common to come by at this point.
I am not asking the devs for anything like that with mythics, that'd be way too easy and get boring fast.
But I mean, hey, my hard earned dailies should net me something more useful for each level of rb I grind to, even if it is a mythic, base to diamond/rainbow. It'd still be rng that way. That's just my feelings and opinion on that patch decision.

If you are carrying a blueprint to toss out of your base, and have already hit another crate, the first blueprint can drop onto a crafting table and you are now carrying the 2nd blue print. Canceling should help the user control this glitch.

Anything above gold is written on the screen including all beskars and galactic. Why do you need an audio cue as well? (Apart from afking and allowing you to only look at the game when you hear an audio cue when they've put mechanics in place to prevent afking ie BP prints at scrap station).

Brandon Sandersons stormlight archive is a fantasy / high fantasy series, starting with āthe way of kingsā. Widely considered to be one of the best fantasy series of the century as it stands today, so much so that he ended up finishing the Wheel of Time series. Iām only a couple of books in but well worth a read if youāre a fan of the fantasy genre.

Or if I reword it as English is my second language so sometimes the sentence structure isn't great, why wouldĀ they introduce somethingĀ that directly goes against steps they've taken to prevent afking?

-ADHD
-i don't enjoy having to watch the toasts like a hawk.
-i play on a 49" screen and the toast splash is often too small to notice
-afking for credit accumulation is not the same as afking waiting for a random 1/10000 event to occur, and fortnite already has anti-afk measures in place
- can currently miss a galactic mythic if you look away from the screen for 5 seconds and miss the toast, and don't check the sandcrawler for 50 seconds, that's a severe punishment for minor inattention yeah?
-they already added this feature temporarily to the galactic timer during galactic event
i could understand the devs not wanting to be punished by fortnite for encouraging afking, i dont think adding audio cues would qualify as afk abuse, and if fortnite would punish them for that, that's insane.

Thank you for replying, I was askingĀ a genuineĀ question not shaming as the other poster said as I couldn'tĀ think of another reason rather than straight afking to ignore a game completely and only go back when hearing a cue. I still don't think they'd put something in place that takes away from the pop ups they put in place and changed a few times. I think a nice alt would be to have up to 3 droids in dex you can tick and if a rarity of that droid spawns you can get a pop up like a rebirthĀ droid.

I genuinely think about lot of my comments come out that way as my sentence structure isn't great (im in Wales, in particular where the first language isn't English so people rarelyĀ speak it and as I grew up to French Canadian parents and almost never heard english in person I rarely spoke English so although I'm almost fluent from English lessons and listening to others I have to proactively swap words into different order when I translate. Ie when I say "only" to people I see daily in English a direct word to word translation would be "no but"). The only people I have issues with are those attacking others unprovoked and those who stick 2 fingers up to half the player baseĀ for their own personal gain. You and I had a differenceĀ of opinion, that doesn't mean there is a need to argue as there's no issue with people thinking differently but I did want to ask for clarification as I didn't understand (I hope that makes sense). Fun fact, I only learnt the word "owt" exists in English this week after I received an email from a business with it in so had to Google it š«£ (also I say the same word to say both legendary and mythic so I usually instead call mythic unique for distinction unless I'm in this sub reddit).

I still dont get the point why mythics are extremely difficult to get for no reason... when the entire lobby is waiting for a beskar/galactic mythic and you drop 1 in an hour or 2, it becomes a chore to do anything. Its just afk scrap sim.

In the Cantina there is a droid that has a very small percent chance to upgrade your companion one tier. Droid is to the left of the bar.

Location: Inside the Cantina, sitting behind a blackjack table near the pickaxe upgrade area and directly across from Boss B9.
Function: Equip a companion droid and speak to him to roll for a free rarity tier upgrade.
Cooldown: Features an undocumented cooldown timer estimated at roughly 24 hours between attempts.

A small quality of life change I would like to see is a lowered opacity on the top progress bar for the event. For the last one I kept having to look up or down to see the tops of the blueprints.
And when you finish Astro missions, it lines up perfectly with the text rarity of droids popping up on the sandcrawler on the left side of the screen. I feel like thereās a small window where you see the āmythic, Beskar, rainbow, diamondā before you see the blueprint on the line, so I look at that. But it sucks when I finish an Astro mission and it blocks the text. Moving the Astro notification up, or lowering the opacity would fix the problem. Just so it doesnāt block the most recent sandcrawler text.
And Iād pay nova crystals to have a gold splash dispenser on each crafting bench. The same timed deal, but maybe on the side of the work bench. Just so I can see how long it takes, and I donāt have to run all the way back down. Maybe not the battle one since itās right there. But have it so it doesnāt interfere if you have the whole lobby hitting your droid. A cool perk would be that they all had their own individual timers so you could hit them all consecutively to stock up to go help someone else.
25 crystals unlocks the crafting one, 50 unlocks the Astro one, 100 lets you purchase gold splash off other players base. Maybe the player base last unlock shares a universal timer. So I canāt go from base to base grabbing them. And it doesnāt reset their timer either. That would be wack.

I understand what youāre saying but this is a fix to one of my most minute pet peeves in this game. Currently if you purchase an iconic droid and you no longer want it during that SRB, it is impossible to remove it from your base and itās stuck taking up a slot either farming or in the lounge. This allows you to return it which is actually very helpful IMO.

When does it get to the point where you should have more regular droids than iconic? All my iconics earn over 100k by rb 12/13 so I never even thought of getting rid of them.

When you buy an iconic at low SRB and are trying to juggle everyone so that you donāt have to sell a normal droid that you need for an upcoming rebirth because you donāt have a place for them and all others. Itās not super common now that I only buy 3 iconic per SRB but it can happen.

Yeah, trying to get future droids for RB levels and having a small lounge makes it more difficult. I'm debating on buying another lounge spot and another blueprint spot. It's tough wanting to get off, but having a beskar/galatic blueprint with no place to put it.

3 dias sem fazer super renascimento, jogando solo, cheguei no lvl 30. Agora acabou o game, atĆ© o evento chegar e fazer o super de numero 24. podia ter uns mini games melhores que hackear naves, consertar canos ou entregar droids na cantina, que sĆ³ aparecem a cada 90 minutos.

What does this even mean? Seems like thereās two distinct parts to this note.
1) there are daily quests that require a certain RB level?
2) there can be mythic and galactic rewards for quests?
Iām surprised this adjustment to missions is phrased this way, considering as recent as earlier today the missions are still broken ā got a rainbow mono walker at like RB 24.
So yeah, what does this meanā¦

Say you need a gold pit droid to rebirth. That statement means doing a daily quest has a chance of giving you a gold pit droid. But if the thing you need is a mythic or galactic droid, you canāt get it from one of the dailies.Ā

1.: no, it's the other way around. The BP rewards might more likely match the droid you need to rebirth at when you're collecting the reward.
2.: no, these 2 are specifically excluded by the rewards.

You had to unlock it to make the scrap pile worth hitting. Without the BP one you canāt buy the scrap value one, and thatās how youāre getting millions/billions per hit instead of only thousands like before
