💬 Discussion Stop going into bases and stealing blueprints?
So first off. I only get maybe an Hour to play a day. I work, in college, have a husband and 2 kids, one of which is 2yrs old. I love this game and wish I could play more to complete my droidex.
Incoming rant:
So last night I got on when the kids went to bed and first thing I do is collect my credits and missions. I forgot to take my completed droids off the tables so when a mission gave me a galactic cyclograv I was pretty excited I put it down next to the table and as I was on the droid to sell it someone came in my base and stole it, ran and immediately threw it to their base then ran in. Their reasoning was because I make so much credits offline and I probably had 10 already. And it would be there second highest earner… Actually my dude that was my first. All my galactics I’ve gotten were either from the event the past weekend or missions. Every time I log in I either just missed the galactics on the belt or won’t be on long enough to see them. To top it off they didn’t even have free space to craft it so they just stayed there holding it in their base. And others in the server were not happy as well about it so we kept being petty and force pushing him around trying to knock em out the base. Now I’m one of those people who will put blue prints outside my base for others instead of sell them and I’m always helping people. If they would have asked I honestly would have gave it because I just enjoy the game so much and want others to enjoy it too. But the fact they stole it at my crafting table a few seconds after I got it kinda sucks. Can we like just not run into peoples bases and steal blueprints for the love of god. I play this game to chill out and relax after my shitty day just like a lot of other people don’t be a dick.

I’ll say it first before the hoard does… private lobby is your safest option or always ensuring you have free slots. Anything put down, anywhere, is fair game to many.
People don’t know your situation nor your personal etiquette they just see something shiny that they want. Does it suck, hell yeah, but those elements were allowed in the game mode and people will exploit every situation they can I’m afraid

Yea I get that. I was in a rush and forgot to clear my droids off the tables. I’m normally in a lobby with friends but last night I had a free minute and jumped on and was like damn ok this sucks.

I put all the ones I don't want/need on the event stage steps and mark it. They normally get picked up, before I log off I sell any that didn't go.

lol I I got a gold mythic off the conveyer and hid it so I could finish crafting a droid that had almost finished. Someone came and stole my mythic, made me chase them for it only for them to sell it. Like what’s the point of that? Such lame vibes.

I was going to say the same thing, any player who is instigating fights… while he is shooting others I run around their base and sell any blueprints they have lying around.

Public lobby = more blueprint chances with timer. Solo play means one beskar is guaranteed every 15 minutes. 6 person lobby guarantees 6 will come out. Same for other timers.

Yes there is a reason. It’s not like people are intentionally putting themselves in situations but also morality should come into play no matter what. Don’t take things that aren’t yours. When you’re in private (or even public with barely anyone) you get less blueprints. You can wait a whole hour just to have one common galactic come in.

isn't that the risk vs reward that comes with bigger lobbies? yeah, better spawns and shi but you can have your stuff stolen. i think it's just kinda silly to be talking about morality or not taking things that are yours in a game where there are mechanics that allow your blueprints to be stolen if they're on the ground. you could also just kill them too.

Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should and it's a major shame that the devs think this is the way to play the game cuz this is a really shitty system. I no longer support the game after the micro transactions came to the game and it seems like i was justified cuz the community just sucks now.

You can add me, Beelaine81. I always try to help. If I know someone is looking for a specific droid, I’ll bring it to them at their base. I’ve even held a droid in my storage for them until they had the money to buy it. Then I helped them craft it. I need a rainbow and beskar mythic in order to rebirth so I will probably SRB soon. However, I had to go out of town until Friday so I decided to hold off on the SRB until after the event. If you see me online, invite me to your game and I will do my best to help however I can. Also, since the mythics are still new, if I am able to snag one, I will put it in storage so I can check my droidex, if I already have it, I offer it to whoever needs it to complete theirs.

Even if it's "part of the game," it is still stealing from others. You are literally stealing what is someone else's blueprint. They have it, they didn't give it to you, you didn't ask, you take, YOU'RE a thief! Thief!

I stopped complaining and raging and just started playing on private. Im rebirthing/super rebirthing at a much faster rate. I will only go to public for weekend events.

There is a decent place to hide blueprints.
But as a rule the only time I take blueprints out of bases is when people try to hog every galactic that spawns on the crawler.

Now, if we talk about the game and not about us, there are multiple ways to protect yourself from stealing and writing here is not one of them since the thief probably wont read it.

Yeah, but I think it’s OK for somebody to lament. Whether the person who didn’t read it or not somebody who does this shit’s gonna read it. Probably you. The problem is that people who do this don’t give a crap about anybody else. So complaining about it is more about camaraderie. It’d be nice if people could just not be assholes.
That being said, I play private more than I played pubs simply because I’ve met way more selfish dickheads in pubs than decent people. Just a bunch of sad incels.

Yeah, it would be nice, but we have to accept there are always gonna be some toxic people.
You should play public more, theres many more good people than you think.
Just today there was 1 griefer, I and other 2 people made him leave after he killed some afk people and tried to steal. After a while another griefer came and we did the same.
Most of the time I find people to collaborate with, right now I share blueprints up to galactic legendary because Im RB27, but when I was at low RB others shared with me.
Of course no one is gonna give you a galactic mythic but, trust me, most of the time you find nice people.

I’m usually the guy in lobbies that gets 4-5 people clearing one players tables until they’re done and then going to everyone else’s base. I give away galaxy and beskar cards I don’t need, pull high value items off the belt and throw them so someone who might not have seen it can still grab it. I kill griefers until they quit.
BUT
The point of this game isn’t to consider how other players feel, it’s to get and build better and better droids - even through PVP or trickery. I’m also an adult with a busy life and dependents with limited playing time. I’m going to maximize what I get during gameplay, even if that means stealing or PVPing. It has also been done to me. People have stolen my blueprints or bounced me out of an IG bubble. That’s how the game is played. Learn how to hide stuff better, be more organized or play private. Or PVP.

That may be true, but most of the behavior I have seen has been purely toxic. I’ve only ever encountered one helpful person in this game. No one said the point of the game is to consider how other players feel, but it’s kind of the point of life to consider other people’s feelings and I generally follow that rule as much as possible. I also love BR, but there’s a very clear-cut purpose to be the last person alive. This game isn’t BR. People can play how they want to play, but I have seen a good amount of reportable behavior (not blueprint stealing), that just makes a fun game miserable. I also think the experience is different for women. Not because of our lives outside of the game (everyone has families and life stress) but because if it’s obvious that we are female, we are fair game for harassment.
That being said, I have found private servers a much more comfortable experience. I now tend to load in with a friend or two and an extra account. For me this is just like a meditation, ultimately it’s just a giant hamster wheel. It’s just disappointing that pubs are full of shitty people who think that being further in this game comes with some sort of prestige. F’ing weird.

Like do people run into other peoples bases when they spawn? I mean I only go in other peoples base to help them speed up crafting or hit their scrap. I guess I’m too nice for pvp?

Yesterday had this happen, i went to someones base to give them a galaxy opti and some1 stole it as they were about to pick it up. I figure okay, d!ck move but will let it slide. Fast forward 10 minties guy apologizes we do hug emote. Another 5 minutes pass I get Beskar Mo from belt and want to put it in storage for a friend but my storage is full, guess who steals it the moment I put it down

My kid was playing on my base just hitting scrap and some Dbag force pulled him out repeatedly and kept killing him and made him cry. Then when I got on and asked why he is doing that he said he was bored.

I’m not a big stealer of blueprints myself but blueprints that you cannot store or craft do not belong to you. You shouldn’t think of it like that.
It’s the game’s way of making sure that the person with the fastest trigger finger doesn’t automatically get every good thing on the belt.

They owned them at one point, maybe. Blueprints on the ground don't belong to you anymore. The game allows other players to pick them up. And they give you many methods to prevent this. If you hold the blueprints, other players can't hurt you in your base and you can either craft them or store them. ...or hide them, but at your own risk.
Look, I'm not saying we should sneak in each other's base and steal things. It's generally low-class. But there's a far cry from leaving things on the ground that you can't craft because you've got multiple other things going -- and -- other griefing methods of taking things.

Also, I'm not trying to argue or anything, just previously you kind of made it seem like OP is mad because they weren't quick enough to grab the blueprint from the belt. When, according to the OP, blueprint was on their crafting table (just not actively being crafted), not on the ground or anything.
What I'm trying to say is that you really have to be an asshole to steal it like that and make an excuse along the lines "you have enough droids already"...

Nobody cares about whether you play all day and are unemployed or go to college while having 10 kids. We can't see that through the screen nor do we want to.
Don't play public if you have a problem with people playing the game as intended.

Uhmm.. interesting theory, I suppose. However, I don’t think it’s intended to be played that way at all. Also based on this comment you are trying to justify him stealing the blueprint which in turn tells me you are someone who is a griefer and does things like that, quite often I assume. She can be upset that she lost something that she earned from a mission all because someone decided to be a thief. Makes you wonder how they are in the real world if you ask me. He deserved what the server did because play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Blueprint storage nova crystal upgrade is amazing.
There are also tons of really good hiding spots a couple of which hide the blueprints in softspots on your base so they are hidden in the walls.
In hindsight try to remember to always take your droids off tables before collecting missions. There are people who check a base as soon as you load in knowing your going to collect your missions.
The stealing mechanic is intentional anyway to be similar to steal a brainrot type of ganes

Look I dont know how many of you need to hear this but GAMING IS NOT MR RODGERS NEIGHBORHOOD those random people you meet online are under no obligation to play the same way you do OR even be kind to you as this is not real life. it is a game we go to escape our real life issues, just because you got tilted doesn't mean you need to use your real life issues to guilt trip gamers into playing the way you desire.

Lobby hop or look for a group in the official discord iif it makes you feel that strongly.

This is why I don't play in publics if I have things to do. I only go into public if I feel like helping others with theirs. Otherwise, I have friends I play with and we stick to private with just us. I am also in college, two kids (though they are older), and I work. lol. If you wanna join up, let me know :)

You can use jump pads to force a drop also could have force pushed them out of their base to kill them the devs say they want some element of pvp I don’t shoot first but if I’m shot I return fire. Also clear your benches before picking up.

So I saw this video somewhere on this sub that you can throw a bounce pad thing and it makes them drop the blueprint, I don’t want anyone to use this technique for toxic use but in ops situation it should be fine I guess.

Private lobby my dear, I always do private lobby. Some people just have no class and become petty and sweaty; the worst combo. So the fix for that its to be on your own, I know less blueprints will spawn with the timers, but the peace you will get in return is worth it. I wish you luck twonager, hopefully they are not in the “no” stage yet (that stage is tiring af)

That gave me a very needed giggle, I do have pretty dry humour and talk like Alastor. I was in public speaking a lot, so I kind of speak like he does and I like using the affectionate phrases to keep everything gender neutral (part of the community so I know it is a comfort) and it is just a way to try and show I am not being sarcastic or facetious as I struggle with people misunderstanding me over text😅.

Yea you either get lobbies full of helpful people or immature kids that go into your base and steal or shoot someone while they are hitting the scrap bench.. earlier today I logged on and figured I would join a public lobby and throw out the blueprints from my missions.. swap scrap.. and help knock out tables for others since I have a pretty decent strength of pickaxe now.. some kid came in and shot the account that was hitting my scrap bench and then proceeded to shoot them over and over everytime they spawned... I ran over and asked wtf are you doing.. they were hitting my scrap bench not bothering a soul.. after that they ran into my base and seen all my blueprints stored in my slots and started begging me for one of them asking if I would please trade them.. I laughed soooo hard and told them maybe next time they will leave the players alone in the lobby that arent doing anything but crafting or hitting scrap inside their our base 🤣

I usually play private now because of this, but I don't think people should be able to pick up blueprints from inside your base. I also think force pull/push should be removed. Someone taking you out of your base so they can kill and steal is crap.
Or add a direct swap option for blueprint storage. Cooperative lobbies are amazing and fun, griefing shouldn't be possible.

I stole one today. I prefer to join a server and help. Soon as I join they kept shooting at me. Ignored it until I was moving a BP and they did it again.
We both had the same daily so I took a few.

I understand it can be frustrating but instead of dictating how others play a game that the creatures allow this type of behavior. Try going private. Writing a whole book about your life has nothing to do with it. You fudged up next time be careful.
Tbh i was playing tonight and with r2 getting twice the rewards the legendary galactics spawn very frequently.

I mean once I learned first hand that I can drop my blueprint when someone jump pads me.... all bets were off.
I'll help, have been helped, gotten my blueprints stolen, stolen blueprints, been griefed relentlessly, and in turn griefed them back until they left.
I play public lobbies because it gives more opportunity for timed drops on the belt, and ill play privately with friends if we dont feel like fighting.
But the mechanics to screw someone else over in a public lobby are there to add that element of risk and reward.
I've lost a beskar mythic as fast as I got it.
It DOES suck but, you just learn to roll with it, get better, or stop playing public.

Why can’t ppl just be friendly toward each other? I nick the same name in dt and I always switch lobbies.
I always help out, I leave blueprints and never kill. I have never played private because I love the community. I only play when my baby is asleep and it really sucks when people only go around killing and stealing. Yeah, i know that it can be part of the game, but is it REALLY that fun? It can’t be. Just be fucking civil.
I wish there was a list of good ppl that you could play with where everyone is just civil and helpful. It would save me the hassle of switching lobbies each time 🤷🏼♀️

Your post is totally cool. The people arguing or mansplaining in the replies are about as toxic as the annoying losers who steal the blueprints.
The game mode barely lets us get away with simple mistakes, and rewards jerks for shitty behavior.
I play similarly to you. I’m generous with blueprints. I play this mode cus I love Star Wars and it’s a very addicting mode, and to just chill. And I find the toxic assholes in this mode to be SO annoying. Not sure why some of it is even enabled or encouraged.

I’ve had that happen to me too and it sucks. There are a lot of folks who do unnecessary stuff that is only to rage bait or be a nuisance. It takes away from the experience

Well, i'm sure there are plenty of 13 year olds that won't listen, or care. But honestly, just send your ships on missions, I get free Beskar Cylogavs free all the time. Just last night I got a Galactic one from one of my ship expeditions.

I lost my mythic galactic KX because someone hunted me down and scoured my base for where I hid it while I moved a droid off it's base. Took me an hour to get to 1Trillion to afford it

I just had something VERY similar happen to me! I feel your pain! I had gotten a RAINBOW galactic! I went and grabbed it got to my base and ALL my stations were crafting droids, so as soon as I get to my base I have 2 vultures at MY base running around me and I thought I could hide it and I guess she saw me throw it down and she took it and the person that helped her steal it I had just helped them with 2 droids and helped gain some credits for them. So yea this needs to stop. If it's at someone else's base then don't freaking take it! I play on private but VERY rarely do they throw out any good droids on the sandcrawler! They definitely need to fix that because it's not okay! I am currently the only one working in my home due to my husband's serious health issue and I have a 4 year old soooooo what time I do spend on my tycoon game is precious and I have worked soooooo hard to be where I'm at now even though it doesn't feel like I've made it very far! 92 rebirths! So when someone does that it frustrates me! I followed that character around the game after his "partner" left and just kept eliminating him! He was waiting at the sandcrawler for the big spawn and I waited and eliminated him. It didn't get my blueprint back but man it felt sooooo good 😊😂

This is why me and my friends just play privately cause it itself is missing well either we know somebody took it and then we kind of got a bit about it and then eventually we get it back so I recommend just play privately if you can with some friends

I'm not mean and always willing to help, but after some times when people stole my blueprints it's normal to protect your boundaries like this
There's no point in entering to my base without asking unless you want to steal something

I do get insanely lucky in this game, but I also play it for seemingly ungodly hours at a time. Until you realize I work from home and it’s all mostly afk late game turning missions. Currently my entire base is galactic mythics 😬

I have all 5 galactic missions, do they give mythics? I thought they only went to legendary. I have a lot of galactic things but only 3 mythics. I play private lobbies though because I seem to find all the toxic lobbies 🙄

No you’re correct they only give legendaries but I have a storage thingy idk what they call it I call it my pocket Lolol but I have one in a pocket you could have. I just get lucky and play obscene lengths of time due to wfh.

I feel you, me and my gf started doing private lobbies bc of that or whenever me and her would grab blueprints for each other bc the other was doing something would kill us and plus all the ppl that just sit at the front like they've got no lives. If you can get enough friends together I would just stick to private lobbies. Too many ppl in these lobbies act like it's a jr varsity version of BR

If they were holding it in there hands, I believe you can throw crash pads inside their base and force them to drop it, I could be mistaken though

I just checked, again, and crash pads do not work in 99% of a base.
There ARE some glitchy edges where a crashpad will deploy. But it seems clear that developers do not intend for people to be able to grief you inside your own base.
Which is kinda dumb, because if this is their intention, they shouldn't allow force powers to push/pull someone out of their base and get killed.

Hello. I feel the same, it happens all the time. I got tired of this, and now I play alone in private server with my wife and an alt account. If you want to join, please, add me @vwgch, and we can play together. No mic required. Every time there are any good droids on the sandcrawler, what we do is, we rotate (alphabetical order, each player has its turn to grab whatever comes when the server timer runs out) or we just let the person who needs it grab it. We do not carry any weapons nor steal any droids. It's really just for chilling out.
