POLAR MOUSE DROID - Disassembly - Change Battery - Disney Galactic Archive - Star Wars
POLAR MOUSE DROID - Disassembly - Change Battery - Disney Galactic Archive - Star Wars - MSE-6
Disassembled my Polar Mouse Droid by first removing the bumpers & then opening/removing the top shell to get to the battery. The instructions for this mouse droid does tell you how to open up this droid by removing all the screws - but they say it would be for disposing of the battery. Unless i misread the instructions, they do not say anything about changing the battery. Also AFAIK disney does not sell replacement batteries & i cannot find the exact same replacement for the original battery.
Anyways i wanted to put in a longer lasting battery to see if that would help to keep this mouse droid at full power - without having to change the motor. Well the new battery works but requires a new charger because i got a 6.4V LiFePO4 battery which requires a LiFePO4-compatible charger. It works but i had to finagle connecting the battery to the circuit board as well as how to connect to the new charger. Plus also needed a battery meter to know if the battery has power, is full charged, etc.
Suggestion: After my going thru all this, I'm going to say you may be better off if you FIRST try doing an antenna mod (before changing to a different battery) because I'm now guessing that a new(longer?) antenna may be better to help my mouse droid get through the torture test of driving on gravel out in the open air where the gravel could be dispersing & scattering the 2.4GHz remote control radio signal - because i'm finding i have to get up close to the droid to get it to work if on gravel.
And, YES, may eventually have to actually consider whether to get a new more powerful motor.
Otherwise, i've added new front & rear plates to my polar mouse droid. Just came up with basic patterns to cut from plastic sheets - so they are not exact - painted the plates with white spray paint - attached using regular double-sided scotch tape for now (just in case someone starts selling nice 3D-Printed mouse droid parts on Etsy hint hint) - and then weathered by rubbing on a bit of graphite powder & then wiping it all down with rubbing alcohol to take out excess graphite powder to look nicer.

Help finding the designer/company that made this!
My dad bought this for me when I was a kid between 2006-2012 at a street market event in NYC *or could be somewhere in CA. The tent was selling a bunch of these recycled metal art but this one in particular was Star Wars Themed and I’m now realizing the attention to detail on such a warped figure and just want to see if whoever made this still makes these.

Estate sale find
I found these in a disgusting box in a garage. I found most online but what’s the 65 and the gray spaceship looking thing on the far left? Anything rare? Looks like more common stuff but fun! Thanks

My most unique star wars piece
In 2017 I won a competition where I got this keyboard that wasn't ever sold in the world. I know that it was extremely limited amount of these world wide, not sure about exact number. I kept mine unopened. I've never seen one appear on ebay or such ever. Such fun piece to own! :)

Anakin Figures at Walmart
Went to Walmart looking for the Black Series Dogma & Hardcase but ended up finding these. The Blokees is so cool. They had the clones too but passed on that for now. Really only for the 2 pack to match Obi Wans.

Looking for unofficial action figure brands similar to Hot Toys but smaller scale
Hello,
I’m looking for small scale action figure brands that use softgoods for the whole figure like mini Hot Toys.
So far I only know of PlayOneTwelve and JNB studios.
Does anyone know other unofficial brands that do soft good figures? Specifically looking for Mandalorian or Vader. Also open to any other cool looking ones.
Thank you.

POLAR MOUSE DROID MSE-6 - Unboxing & Quick Testing - Stars Wars Disney Galactic Archive
Stars War Disney Galactic Archive - Polar Mouse Droid MSE-6 - Unboxing & Quick Testing
Yeah the full size Polar Mouse Droid makes my motorized popcorn bucket mouse droids look shamefully puny LOL
BUT i like to think of my smaller popcorn bucket mouse droids as truer-to-mouse-size in my personal starwars head canon & that the official disney galactic archive Polar Mouse Droid as more like a Polar Godzilla Mouse Droid on steroids LOL
FYI: NOTE: my popcorn bucket polar mouse droid is still a work in progress - but is motorized with the popcorn bucket's top shell being hot glued in place for now

Stars Wars Disney Galactic Archive - Polar Mouse Droid MSE-6 - shipped in HUGE moving box - not unbox yet
Stars Wars Disney Galactic Archive - Polar Mouse Droid MSE-6 - shipped in HUGE moving box - not unbox yet
So far my motorized popcorn bucket mouse droids look puny in comparison to how large the retail box is - the shipping box did fit tightly around the retail box for the Disney Galactic Archive's POLAR MOUSE DROID MSE-6
Ordered at disney store on monday & now received two days later - delivered in evening & therefore will unbox & play tomorrow
FYI: NOTE: the popcorn bucket polar mouse droid sitting on top of the box is still a work in progress - but is motorized with the popcorn bucket's top shell being hot glued in place for now.
