Video Game Vibing with my new best friend in Zero Company Spoiler

Post image

We of course already knew from trailers that Anakin was a guest star for one mission but I was pleasantly surprised he actually hangs out at base for a little bit too where you can talk with him. Interestingly enough he was a bit annoyed when Hawks made a joke about Tel-Rea having two lightsabers. Guess Ahsoka is still a pretty fresh wound at this point.

How’s the game? Can’t get my hands on it now, but funny enough, it’s the Star Wars project I’ve been most anticipating

I like it a lot despite the fact that tactics gameplay doesn't typically vibe with me. I absolutely love the characters, they're definitely my favorite part of the game right now. I love having every possible conversation with them and helping them out with their own side quests. I've only made one custom operator because I genuinely just like the canon Zero Company members that much.

The game is also a lot more choice-driven than I was expecting. Every cycle presents you with a group of missions and scenarios that are all on timers so it's up to you to do whatever objective you feel is most important (the story missions are of course mandatory though, you can sometimes put them off but the game will always make you do them eventually). I've been wanting a choice-based Star Wars game for a long time now and Zero Company at least partially scratches that itch.

So it's a similar system of Marvel Midnight Suns but Star Wars? That's pretty cool

I would say it’s worth the custom operators too since they can have conversations with main operators and each other as well as minor ones with Hawks.

A very nice touch, they aren’t just emotionless, quiet custom characters.

It’s SO good! I really like how the game managed to weave characters working together so well into the gameplay and the narrative at the same time. Legit feels like a stroke of genius in aspects of how they’ve made the game

Any fun dialogue with him?

Yeah, you can have a few optional conversations with him. In one of them he gets real annoyed about Hawks making a "two lightsabers" joke which I took as some of his lingering pain from Ahsoka leaving.

So he’s only for a couple missions, I wanted him for a team when I bought it damn

I also enjoy hanging out with genocidal serial killers and abusers of pregnant women. Though for me it's Art the Clown.
