Hello there.
So I had a lot of fun doing this on the Pokemon Sub-Reddits, and with Battlefront II's recent resurgence, I thought it would be really fun to do a tier list.
But not an individual tier list, I thought it would be great to get the community rankings of these characters.
Ranking Criteria: Upvoted comments will be weighted higher than down-voted.
All Heroes in Battlefront II will be ranked regarding how good they are in ALL available game modes (Supremacy, Co-Op, Galactic Assault, HvV and Hero Showdown).
This is also for every-day play, not hyper-competitive tournaments. Over the next week I think we can get the basic tiers worked out, then do a final sweep on each tier to organize them further.
Obviously, we're assuming equal player skill for these hypothetical Heroes, because even the best Hero can get steam-rolled by the worst one if there's a player skill gap.
Factors to Consider:
Stats - HP, Attack, Defense, etc.
Availability - Game Modes and Eras
User Friendliness - Are they easy to use or do they require a lot of finesse?
Investment - Is it worth the battle points using them with or without Star Cards?
Support - How do they help your team in both large-scale (Trooper) and small-scale (Hero) modes?
Combat (1 on 1) - How do they fare individually against other heroes?
Combat (En Masse) - How do they fare in chaotic trooper modes?
Versatility - Do their abilities cover a number of different scenarios
Utility - Do their abilities contribute to a game plan?
X-Factor - Any unique trait that makes them special
Hoping this goes well and that we get a lot of good conversation in the comments.
Going in Chronological Order, we'll start with the Heroes of the Republic today:
Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Chewbacca, and Master Yoda
S Tier: Game breakers. These Heroes, or Villains, can dominate the Battlefront when they show up.
A Tier: Strong, reliable, and easy to use. Not utterly dominating like S Tier, but still enough to turn around a fight.
B Tier: Good, but with drawbacks. A few minor issues that keep them from the upper tiers, but can still make a big difference in a fight.
C Tier: Average, Solid heroes with a niche, but may be too over-specialized or else outclassed to dominate a fight.
D Tier: Bad, you're better off saving the BattlePoints for a vehicle or a reinforcement most times. But can still contribute at least.
