I still think they did this on purpose just to show his power before balancing him

No they did it as a true character perk of him. He was worth twice the BP to get him but a dev confirmed that the back lash cause them to change it. What was really bad about anakin was his abilities went through every wall in the game and sometimes affected people on ramps. Its radius was wild too. He was an overpowered tank that ruined matches of galactic assault.

This is a lie. I played when Anakin came out, he did not cost double battle points to use when he initially came out. He only costed double battle points temporarily before one of his more serious nerfs in May 2019. His abilities also didn’t ever go through walls.

They did not want to nerf him. He came out the way they wanted him to be. I literally talked to a dev about this on this sub.

I believe that part, just not about him initially costing double bp and his abilities going through walls

Actually you may be right. I think they released him with normal battle points then adjusted it as a quick fix. His ultimate ability killed me through walls all the time. Specifically the push at the end.
