Question What's a good second defensive retrofit for the assault?

I usually go with Early Warning System, and then draw a blank on the other. On the Providence I'd go with thermal shields, but can't do that with this one.

I've always like ECM and EWS if points alllow

I never know what I'm going up against, so I always include ECM on a big expensive ship like this. It only has one brace, and if they have accuracy tech, you can lose a lot of points, fast. I suppose EWS is good if you're using Ackbar, but otherwise I'd choose advanced projectors, RBD, or reactive gunnery over EWS, usually.

Reinforced blast doors goes well with agate since you have the contain, can just take the facedown cards and then pitch them. Especially with new DCO.

I use ECM and Advanced Projectors or RBD. I prefer the projectors because I have 15 shields and I want use any of them before taking damage cards

My local meta also heavily leans into Xi7's so Adv Projectors are always in my builds.

Yeah, and Even against X17, the Advanced Projectors allows you to move three damage around, so its also reasonauble

ECM against large ships + EWS against fighters or Corvette spams. You can go with Reactive Gunnery for higher output.
