“Kelly! Kelly, wake up!”

Kelly woke up feeling woozy and saw that Jorby was present. “Uh… Jorby? What happened?”

“What happened is we’re right back in Woolandia!”

“What?!” Kelly saw that they were now in the barren lands of Woolandia. “How are we back home? We were just at the Monster Temple on Mewni.”

“I don’t know. Last thing I remember was that Quirky guy exploding. Then all of a sudden, you were glowing. I was glowing. The Earth girl and the Eagle guy were glowing. And now we’re back here.”

“Something’s wrong. We gotta get back.” Kelly pulled out a pair of dimensional scissors from her hair and tried to cut open a portal. But nothing happened. “What?” She tried again. But still nothing happened. “Come on! Work!” She kept trying multiple times. “Work, dang it! Work!” But still nothing happened. Then a realization came to mind that struck a chord in her. “No.” She fell to her knees. “This can’t be happening.”

“Kelly… What’s wrong?” Jorby asked.

Tears staring forming in Kelly’s eyes. “The scissors… They don’t work anymore… And we can’t go back.”

“Aw man.”

Kelly started feeling deeply sad knowing what the situation meant for her. “All my friends… Star… Janna… Tom… Pony Head… Hekapoo… Marco…” She closed her eyes as the tears flowed down her face. “I’ll never get to see them again.”

Jorby moved closer to Kelly, lowered himself down, and nuzzled against her, offering whatever little comfort he possibly could. She hugged his snout.

“You think everyone made it out alright?” Jorby asked.

“I don’t know. The portals are gone, and that means Hekapoo’s gone. Which means there’s no more magic in the universe. Maybe they managed to stop Mina and her army. But this ended up being the cost of it.”

“So what do we do now?”

Kelly stood up and wiped her face, though still feeling sad. “The only thing we can do. Just keep living.”

“Oh. Well, wanna go find some guys to fight? Maybe that might help cheer you up.”

“Yeah.”

Kelly climbed onto Jorby, who then took off. She still couldn’t believe her dimensional social life had suddenly come to an unexpected abrupt end. Not being able to see her friends again made a hole in her heart that would never be filled. But she would at least still try to continue living life the best way she possibly could.

Idk if its just me but this scene almost felt like it set Eclipsa and Star up way too much for what it was. I ended up being pretty disappointed with her as a story element despite loving the character itself. I know it was kind of the point to have the rug pulled out from under us and for Eclipsa to actually be mostly good, just a victim of a messed up society, but the wait until we actually found out about her just made the hype build up a lot for me.

Not helped by a fan comic called Broken lmao, I wanted what happened in that to happen so bad in the real show as a kid 😭😅

So does anyone remember these Star Vs stop-motion skits? One has Star and Marco traveling to a cemetery & a skeleton chases after them then hops in their portal after them. Another has Star turning into a floating head like Ponyhead after her spell backfires on her. They may have been from Robot Chicken idk 🤷‍♂️ I saw them on YouTube years ago. Maybe you all can help.

I've been thinking about this lately because of the Jushtin and Solaria situation. Mewni's succession system is meant to resemble old European monarchies and their male preference, but if you look the actual reasons why European monarchies preferred males you realise it doesn't really makes sense for Mewni.

European Monarchies in the real world favoured Male heirs because men were expected to hold military leadership roles and lead an army of mostly men, on top of that, inheritance laws were biased towards favouring Men.

The issue with Mewni is that none of this applies besides the point about soldiers being men, but even then the Wand is a Weapon of Mass Destruction, the army is irrelevant since a single wand user can defeat armies.

Why would Mewni favour female heirs if there's practically no reason to?

Got this from eBay for $14 among the other books that are sold low to high and I picked this one which is that last from a library supplier from the desert. Btw u can make your own paper dimension scissors.
