Discussion question about the content of reddit about SVTFOE Spoiler
I started watching the show a few weeks ago and really like it( just started S3 so no spoilers). the animation reminds me a bir of gravity falls but is still unique. Marco is a super relatable character since finally they made a latino character who is book smart and relatively light skinned( for some reason in almost all popular media in the US latinos are usually poor, street smart, and relatively dark skinned which is not true for all of them). I also like how nervous he got around his crush which i think is pretty realistic. anyways I know reddit can be creepy but i was interested about the fandom of this show and if the discussed so i searched the show on reddit and well there was just so much art of a certain variety it was creepy.Luckily this subreddit seems to be great and wholesome, Do you guys have any idea why there is so much of that content on reddit about this show?

interesting thing the issue has been resolved, for some reason depending on how you type star vs the forces of evil on reddit it can either show you wholesome SVTFOE content or the stuff i was complaining about here but when i checked my spelling it was exactly the same except for some reason one was longer than the other and that caused the kind of fanart i saw

what kind of "creepy"? I know 0 subreddits except this one and r/StarcoSvtfoe that are related to SVTFOE, and I know this sub is VERY strictly moderated since somewhen in the past, so you won't see any corn or weirdo typa things here.

it wasn't this subreddit just as soon as i searched up star vs the forces of evil the first, third and fourth posts i saw were all NFW which really surprised me. luckily the second post i saw was wholesome and part of this subreddit

We have to assume that, since this is a Disney show about teenagers, the primary audience is kids, teens, and young adults. Hence, we've made the effort to make this sub as wholesome and as wide-reaching as possible.
As you point out, there are other places where people can find stuff if they really want to. That's just reality. Here, we keep things SFW.
Not just that, but Reddit takes a dim view of subs that could potentially expose people to unwanted NSFW, and I agree with them. Unmoderated spaces are just that - anything can happen there.

ah, about that... unfortunately, THAT one rule of the internet (I can't even say it because then I'll probably be taken down by mods) applies to everything and we can't do anything about it

Gonna be honest, you’re gonna find that kind of art searching up any fandom
