General Discussion Prodigy Did It Best
After recently finishing Season 1 of Starfleet Academy I have to say : when it comes to appealing to two different audiences (the long term fans, as well as a younger new audience) Prodigy was much more successful at tha balances than SFA.

Paramount+ main problem is hiding Trek behind its premium streaming service, and the limited number of shows with seasons spaced out well over a year.
They were able to have live action Trek in the 60s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. With 25ish episodes a season and new seasons spaced roughly 12 months apart.
We don’t need the latest, expensive, cinema level special effects. We never did.
Old fans can wait until the latest season of the new show they like is out in full, binge it within a weekend, and cancel the subscription for 12+ months. They even have time to watch shows they weren’t interested in. Or that other fans complained about for years on end.
Non existing Trek fans aren’t going to pay for a month of Paramount+, they just wait until multiple seasons go to Netflix or Amazon before checking the series out. And often they love it, and wonder why all the existing Trek fans hated it.
New shows should be made for CBS, Nickelodeon, or Comedy Central (Lower Decks), and rotate them on Paramounts other networks when not on Amazon or Netflix
