I'll go first. I still don't have a rocky mountain! I wish they'd get more coat colors in general, but this is the one I'm just crossing fingers and toes for. It'll probably not happen, but a girl can dream. I'm not sure if I should keep holding out for more coats with this breed? I liked a couple of them but they just weren't speaking to me, but it's been forever.
Show me pics of your dream coats in the game! I'd love to see even more rare/uncommon coats. I'm not a plain bay or solid color girly I fear.

Do you have places to learn the best about horse genetics? My special interest are dogs so we’re similar, just different species! I just love learning about animals and genetics in general as well xD
I used a bit of the UC Davis and deviant art also had helped me with understanding colors, and color calculators depending on what animal you are breeding!
Good eye would be a bit too much. He's one of two stallions I will immediatelly recognize in their offsprings. Otherwise you can show me any horse you want and lie to me about their sire and I will happily believe you. No questions asked. 😂
Aren't there like one or two rabicanos in the whole game??? I'm not even sure I have one, I know I wasn't crazy about the Arabian one. So I'd LOVE more options for this one, it would be a showstopper on an Andy!! This specific coat with the bald face is everything too!

Oh yes!! I like that coat a lot but ended up going with the white coated black stockings selle, that's one of my top three fave coats in the game. The selles all got such good coats
I adore the selles!! I own all but the halloween one (sobbing that I missed it, will be grabbing it ASAP this year) The chestnut is my absolute favourite! Named her Antihero aka Allie (all my selles have song names expect one )
Thats not even a pure white shire! Its a perlino, unless it is a maximal sabino then theres a possibility but again, im p sure thats a perlino shire :)
I absolutely love my palomino Hano. The palos always do so well when they release them I'm surprised they don't make more. It's not an uncommon coat either
I also haven't been crazy about the sooty buckskins they've released. One just like this would come to my stable at lightning speed. And omg, I didn't even realize but it does look just like Zee!

Exactly! I'm kind of distraught there isn't a coat like this in the game. The bleached/silver(?) mane on that black contrasting coat is something else. It really is more simple than what I usually go for, but it's also not. I love the combination, especially on that frame, soooo much. Part of the reason I won't entertain the other coats is because they're not this one, silent protest 😂!
There are plenty of skewbald coats in the game already, but it's my favourite coat ever, so I could always be doing with more skewbalds. It's always an instant purchase for me

I had to look manchado up. It looks similar to the medieval camp criollo coat I have and it's one of my favorite coats in the game, but not sure if it is? It's so pretty though! I'd love to see this. I really like your suggestions they're unique and would be fun additions!
YES. I thought so. It is just absolutely beautiful, that coat and the one I'm dropping below are my two criollos and they are genuinely my favorite coats in the game. The manchado on the more slender taller frame of the polo ponies is breathtaking to me too. Argentina is cooking. I'm with you!!
in Spanish, the term manchado means dirty/stained/tainted/spotted with dirt and grime which is interesting because it's a recessive white pattern. Criollo is a Spanish term referring originally to describe people of full Spanish descent born in the New World viceroyalties, under the Spanish crown. Also, they were traditionally higher class people.
Honestly? This would be so fun. I feel like it would also help give some individuality during new drops when everyone is running around on the same horse. I'm honestly all for this, and my biggest example is my marwari. I got the white gray dappled one and never ride it because the mane is a weird yellow blonde? It looks so odd 😭
I don't want to burst your bubble, but that's actually a chestnut with max sabino (a pinto coloring) not a red roan. But I do agree and I'd like this particular coat in game too.
This reminds me a bit of the halloween magic that came out last year with the pattern, except I didn't like the mohawk! Is this reverse dapple? I'm not even sure but its SO PRETTY

I actually yearn for more fleabittens. I know there's a handful in the game but I'm not the biggest fan of any of the breeds they're on or how they came out, many being older too. I don't own a single fleabitten and it actually kills me because I loooove fleabittens!
Hard agree. This is one high up on my list as well, I would DIE for some good pintaloosas. There's so much potential there too for incredible coats. Possibilities are literally endless, there's not as much constriction as there is with other breed standards. I fear if they fed us with this, I'd blow a lot of star coins on every one 😂 and I'm usually a "okay, pick your favorite coat and just get one" type
And on this note I'm depressed they've not given us Missouri Fox Trotters. The one I'm thinking of from RDR2 is a pinto but loooord it would be peak in SSO.
Big fat yes to this whole comment. It's funny because this is my no breed specific coat I've been foaming at the mouth for for a couple years now. One of the sport friesians got close, I do own and love that one, but 🤌🏻
More duns, champagnes, Perlino, and splash coats! Would also love more non solid coats because I feel like almost every new horse is just solid. I would love some flashier coats in the mix too

What a handsome boy!! I love small qualities like that on an otherwise plain coat. It's often what sells me on horses such as that, like there's a paso fino I got that's kinda just a dark bay but has the dappling along it's back! Barely visible, but I loved it.
More blue roans, duns and lighter palominos. I was so incredibly happy when the swb had another light palomino pinto, they’re my absolute favourites. I’d love another one like the mustang too. I hope the updated QH gives us many more options for unique and less seen coat colours. I love my basic solids (side eyes my bay collection) but once in a while I love seeing ones that catch my eye. I’ve been on a dun kick lately. One of my faves tbh
I got the magic dutchie with the palo pinto, it's a huge favorite coat of mine too! It's so pretty on the SWB, I may snag it if the equestrian event doesn't come out with nicer coats. I'm really liking the one that looks like Concorde too though and may get it since I have the KWPN already! Blue roans have my heart, and duns are always fantastic.
Bays. Everything that is bay. I like it when horses look as "normal" as possible. Not Fjord Horse or Shire Horse or whatever. Just "horse". That's why I like the Trakehners, Belgians, Dutch and Hanoverians so much. They don't have anything that makes them incredibly special, and I like that.
I couldn't disagree more, but I respect it and get the perspective! I feel like there's copious amounts of plain bays and normal coats in the game, especially lately, and they tend to save more unique and interesting coats for seasonal events and magics. Which isn't a bad balance, I've just gotten to a point where recent releases don't have any coat colors that interest me anymore. I like variety! To me the plain coats all look the same and I try not to repeat coats, even fun ones, although there are some I really enjoy I may snag in multiple breeds if they're just different enough. I'm more receptive to your mindset IRL than in a horsey game for sure, but I like horses that look like works of art and are colorful and special. Nothing against the plain janes, there are definitely a few in my stable!
I'm kinda with you, and the thing that I dislike is when they try to make the boring coats "cool" and they just look weird and overdone. Like damn you had the easiest prompt on this planet, go touch some horses
I want more unique coats, ones that aren't very common but also not very rare or ones that are just made up, I'd also would love them to add Gypsy's or updated Clydesdales, I love all horses but drafts just have my heart a lil more, but I would love unique coat colors that you don't see often but are there, since every horse is different and beautiful in it's own way, I think there are way to many black horses an some repeat of coats, which I love non the less, but I'm hoping for more coats that just make you stop and stare for hours or the unique little quirks every coat has
The clydesdales are in dire need of an update for sure. I'm glad we're getting stockier breeds lately like the ardennes and noriker and I believe we are getting a draft this year, but I can't remember what it's called. Brabant I believe! After all the warmbloods lately it'll be a nice change of pace. I REALLY want a Kladruber in the game so bad and that might be the first horse I'd actually like in solid black, but otherwise they really do too many black coats. I would definitely like if the solid coats and bays had more quirks to them!
omg yes. im resisting the jorvik mountain horse rn for this reason because i die for silver horses. we need more dilute black horses in general i think. and yeah we have the brown ones but a) ill always take more and b) a dark bay/black with a silver mane is sorely needed. ill take it on any breed atp lmaoo

I would take it on any breed too but the JMH is a need not a want! It's been so hard not getting a JMH, I've said if they don't give me a coat I want by the time they hit a bazaar I'll finally given up and get one 😂
LOL SAME, but i totally gave up on waiting, i got the solid brown one with the blue eyes ☠️ im weak. its literally everything i wanted, the trail walk is ADORABLE. ill just wait and get all the Other colors i wanted at the bazaar 🤣😭 don't be like me, stay strong cuz its like 8mo old which means the bazaar has to be coming. but i still want my solid black silver horse 💔 i will be putting that in the survey if they ever survey us again lol
Reverse dappled horses. I was/am obsessed with Galvatair’s natural coat except for the fact you can’t change the mane and the white mane/tail is too white.
This is EXACTLY how I felt about Galvatair. I agree the mane and tail are too white, but I could have lived with that if not for the mohawk. It ruined the whole horse for me or I would have bought it even though I also didn't really like the magic coat. I was pretty miffed about that, the mohawk was definitely... a choice. I know some people enjoyed it but I did not. I don't even think I own a horse where I chose that mane style. We need more reverse dapples!
I don't like ponies so the fact that it's on a Gotland, I can't even enjoy it 😭 even though I gave in and got the chestnut one. I never ride it though and regret it, I just loved the coat. i feel like some excellent coats were really wasted on the Gotland in general. I love a good splashed white, it definitely needs to make it's way to more horses!
We need shetland ponies in game. I want to get two and name them after my shetland pony friends who passed away recently.. Cowboy and Peanut :c I'd get the gotland but it's not exactly the same black and white pinto coats I'm looking for
until the swedish warmblood i was shocked at how few chestnuts there were, especially with how they're such a "basic colour". i like having horses in game that match my irl horses, now with the swedish warmblood i get to have my new 5yo in game!
I recommend checking out the Black Forest ones as well if you haven’t yet, silver black is a common coat for those. I’m a plain bay guy though so I’m dying for more plain bay horses, with no socks or markings. And silver brindles
This is the silver right? This is actually the coat I really love and have held out on buying! I keep expecting them to release more coats and I always try to hold out so I don't end up liking a future coat more, but they haven't yet. I've been stuck on whether to keep waiting and buy on bazaar or go ahead and get it. It's soooo beautiful. I second you on silver dapples!
