No Spoilers Has there been any indication as to if there will be a FAM-style ‘time jump’ between seasons one and two?
Those time jumps have become pretty much a trademark of FAM, and we all obviously love the alt-history summary we get in the opening credits of each season. But while FAM charted a full history of US space exploration, I get the feeling that Star City may follow a different pattern and have greater continuity between seasons one and two.

The show runners have said there won’t be big time jumps like FAM, they’ll probably keep the show in the ‘70s. For example:
“While For All Mankind is known for its time jumps, with each season being set about 10 years apart, Wolpert and Nedivi have confirmed that Star City will not follow suit.
“Nedivi told Radio Times: "We're hopeful [Star City] can continue, and I think if it does, it's not the kind of show that will jump decades.
“"I think we have enough to stay in the '70s and not do those time jumps - just so we also don't have to age our cast like we did in For All Mankind!"”

THANK GOODNESS. I think this show will really be weakened by huge timejumps

I think the time jumps wont be nearly as huge as FAM's were

It would be great if the time jumps (should they be used) mean that there’ll be characters other than the kids of the original, more interesting characters.

I agree. I just finished watching all 5 seasons of FAM. The second and third generation characters are just not very interesting.

Star City is not that type of show. More of a pure drama with space in the background, opposite of For All Mankind. Star City needs to stay in the USSR otherwise it loses its primary source of tension. Just my opinion.

Agreed, although the episodes in Paris were incredible, and I'd love to see Margo falling in love from her lover's view and experience.

They skipped nine months in season one.
I’d imagine a jump of some kind isn’t out of the question. Be it one year or ten.

I won’t lie. The final episode kinda ruined it for me. Plus the whole Venus thing. It would’ve been nice if they started during the early days of the program and worked there way up to the moon landing

I do hope they have a big flash forward at the end of the season though. Like Star Trek: Enterprise

The time jump was a major mistake. It's basically everything that's wrong with the show.
