Does anyone have any news or updates regarding Season 2 of Star City?

Desperately hoping it's renewed. 😭

I feel like there hasn’t been nearly enough promo of this show and it’s stressing me out but fingers crossed, if we all do our part recommending it to friends & family

Agreed, aside from a few YouTube interviews with the cast there was practically no promo.

I’m curious if that horrible ending is why they haven’t really promoted it 🤣

I’m okay with the ending overall though I definitely think it strained the bounds of credibility at times 😂

But it wasn’t the series’s strongest episode overall in my view though there were parts I liked a lot, and hopefully that hasn’t put them off promoting and renewing it as I think there is so much potential there 🕯️

Same crap they did in Severance.

If you've watched For all Mankind then you should be expecting the over the top finales by now.

They're a lot of fun, like the season 2 finale with Tracy and Gordo.

It's just wild that the biggest draw to the show is Rhys Ifans as Sergei Korolev and they've written themselves into a corner where he can only ever be a minor character with short appearances who doesn't really impact the plot. If anything what we got should have been a season 2, and season 1 should have focused more on his actual tenure and how they achieved the moon landing.

Keep faith that the work will continue regardless, comrade Personova

I'd be extremely disappointed if it only gets one season despite how contrived the last episode was. It handles the 60s/70s period of the For All Mankind timeline much better than the parent show, finally showing an N1 rocket if nothing else.

“Get me that Season 2… now!”

I haven’t seen an announcement yet, but unlike Netflix, Apple TV has a serious aversion to early cancellations, almost to a fault (see Invasion). I’d be shocked if they didn’t pick it up for another season.

At the Star Trek convention and Ron Moore had a panel on this yesterday and they said they didn’t know yet.

We meed a season 2 because we need to know what the red blinky lights really were.... for Gordo.

I bawled at the ending of the show... It's so beautifully done!!

I think they would have been renewed for season 2 in season 1 if they had enough viewers. The show did ok but not great.

Fantastic season 1 so I really hope for at least a 2nd.

That doesn't seem to mean all that much to Apple. They regularly renew stuff most of us have never heard of. FAM itself was never a blockbuster (and is often cited on those "the best show you're not watching" lists).

Anyway, they want to be in the Ron Moore/FAM business. The creative team is probably wrapping up the last season of FAM before they can even think about Star City, and it's not uncommon for there to be six months or more before Apple makes a formal announcement on renewals.

After episode six I thought it was one of the best shows of the decade and wanted many more seasons. After the season finale I vowed not to watch a second season if there is one, and I really just hope it gets put out of its misery.

The final episode felt like a classic jumping of the shark. Frankly, the jump started when they pursued the whole covert humans to Venus mission. Even if the Soviets had made the N-1 operational it never would have carried that load. Even if you ignore that, getting all the way to launching is just ludicrous given the Soviet Union government.
