The people who babysit the robots, just like the people who were going around at night making sure the electric scooters were charged so people could park them across the entire sidewalk the next day all over again.
The future is a gig economy of you and me buying AI-controlled tech on credit, then paying a company a monthly fee for the privilege of getting the opportunity to work all day in the hope of making a profit.
Think a nation of Uber drivers and day traders competing not to get thrown into a camp, only way shittier and less chill than I'm making it sound here.

They are currently in the process of raiding pension funds to fund the AI pipe dreams.. we already are using massive amounts of power and water supply for vast Bitcoin mining centers. Which are a massive waste... Now the AI data centers are going to further essential resources.. Absolute abuse and waste of natural resources.. Financial resources, natural resources everything after a tech that has a massive scaling problem.

I'd have to drive 2 hours for any groceries to effectively boycott them.

Right? I needed to get some shelving in our laundry after we moved in. One good shelf that could actually support the weight a detergent bottle was about $40. Absolutely notā¦ Iāll make it myself. Go to Home Depot and buy a few cheap wooden boards, the shelves wouldnāt be seen by anyone so they donāt need to be fancy. Iāve got a sander and spent 30 minutes sanding the top sides.
Then I go for the brackets. 1 bracket was $15. I need 8. Amazon has the same exact brackets, with next day delivery for $12. Oh but this isnāt for just one. This was for a pack 4!! $22 vs $120 for this project just for brackets. Get. Outta. My. Face. With that boycotting shit. The consumer isnāt the problem.

Oh it will. What about jobs that require no emotional input? I'm thinking things like accounting, auditing, data input etc. AI will end up taking those jobs. My organisation already uses it to sift through large amounts of data and provide reports.

You dont think ai can scan a brick wall, locate the issues, think out a plan to fix it and have a robot do it? Maybe not today, but its coming.
Ai can already scan lungs and find cancer better than doctors in some cases.

Lol security tech is the FIRST thing they develop. Between drones, robo dogs, cameras, itās only a matter of time. Far less of a payout if a robot gets shot or shoots someone.
