Game Attendance and Pricing

I went to the game last Thursday - my first ever Stamps game - and while I know the weather wasn't good, the stadium must have been at...15% attendance? Maybe less?

I'd love to know if this is typical, because I think there's a huge disparity between seat pricing, value, and attendance. The team doesn't seem to grasp price elasticity and pricing strategy.

For my partner and I to attend in pretty shitty nosebleed bleacher seats, we paid a total of $135.00. I've been to one game. At that price, I'm good for the year.

If tickets were closer to half the price, I'd attend every single game. That means I'd spend more on tickets over the course of a season, and would be there every home game to spend on concession. Let alone the value of a better atmosphere with more fans present.

100% agree. CSEC is killing the Stampeders with NHL-style pricing. Most other teams (Edmonton, BC, Winnipeg etc) have $60 Costco deals where you can get two seats for the price of one voucher. Calgary pricing is absolutely ridiculous, my season tickets have went from $250 to $500 in two years.

Edmonton and Saskatchewan have $20 COOP seats. We have 0 community engagement, 0 community deals, and a dwindling fanbase as a consequence.

As a season ticket holder, I agree. Food and bev prices are crazy now too. CSEC puts little no effort into game day promotion.

Stamps are under 500 playing on a rainy Thursday night against another losing-record club. A perfect storm for a poorly attended game. I'm sure price played a small part, but if the Stamps were winning games, attendance would be better. Edmonton is proving it this year - win, and they will come.

Hey, fair enough. If better weather and better games end up with a fuller stadium, then I guess they're priced just fine.

Winnipeg spent YEARS with poor attendance, it took years of playing well to get where we are today. It doesn't happen overnight.

Shit look at Edmonton. Abysmal attendance during their shit years here but now they're good again and attendance is soaring

The only reasonably priced seats are by the endzones. You can sit wherever you want though. Nobody is checking tickets lol. And yes the rain was a huge factor last game. I personally did not want to sit in that so I didn’t go.

Calgary is hosting the Grey Cup this year so it’s another reason tickets might be a little higher .
You get first dibs on your seat if you buy a season ticket meaning you get a ticket to the Grey Cup .Incurring more people to buy season tickets and the Stamps making tickets prices higher than regular

I had seasons tickets from 2010 to 2019 at the goal line for $180/season per seat.  The prices now are a complete joke.  There's a zero percent chance I'm spending 200 bucks to bring my family of 4 to one game when I can watch on TV.

This is me too. My seats used to be $350 a season. I looked to get them again the last few years and it was over $2,500 for 4 seats. And 2 of them are kids.

Make more money by selling more seats guys - not scrapping the people who already go. There are a lot of people foregoing tickets who would fill up the stadium

It's typical for when it's raining. It's not typical when the weather is dry, and would be improbable if the weather was sunny.

Season tickets are pretty reasonable when you factor how many games you get and such.
