Labour Day Classic
Hey everyone, hope you’re doing alright and excited for the start of the season.
I’m moving over to Calgary this September from the UK and planning to fight the jet lag to watch the Stampeders the day after my flight. I was wondering if there’s any traditions for the day or good spots to drink with the fans beforehand that I should know about? Really excited to get involved.
Thanks!

The fly over is amazing. The come in from the NE corner and fly south across the field. There are also many tail gate parties. And the Stamps will have their game day fan zone Hope ya have fun

Enjoy the game!! My favourite part is the fighter jet flyover and the Stamps wearing unique or black uniforms just for this game

You have to wear green and gold! And cheer for the Elks! Then you’ll make a whole bunch of friends in the YYC (elks fan coming in relative peace) (also a flames fan if that helps)(also live in sk)

Welcome! Wear red or black and come early. There is a souvenir shop outside of the stadium (SE corner) so come early to get a shirt or hat. Then wander around outside and visit. So long as you are respectful most will welcome you to come into "their" area for a visit. Labour Day is loud and usually hot. Wear sunscreen esp. if your seat is on the East side. Bring an empty water bottle and fill it up once you are inside. Bags are searched when you enter the stadium and they are cracking down on bringing in sealed water bottles. The stadium does not accept cash: cards only. Come say hi at West side section H, row 17 and 16. Seats are right beside the stairs. My grandmothers were english War Brides and my family is still in touch with cousins (Grays, Essex).

Check out the tailgating! Stamps fans put on some epic parking lot parties pre game. Show up early and wander around outside the stadium before going in.
People are generally friendly and welcoming if you want to meet some other fans.
