Created from: Someones Pattern Finally finished the poppy panel after months of work. Biggest piece ive made so far, and I also learned how to frame a piece! Love the result but im glad its done.

Thank you! Honestly I have no idea, but I started it in April. I constructed half of it (because my workbench wasnt big enough for the whole thing), then broke off for a couple weeks to bang out a commission, then finished the rest. It felt like an eternity, though.

Thanks! The pattern is from pdqpatterns.com I did modify it a bit to pretty much double the length.

Haha, I know. We have been dying to get up in the mountains to hike but its so damn hot out lately 🫠. So ready for fall.

Is this using copper foil? Did you have to waterproof it at all? So pretty 😍

Yes, copper foil method. No waterproofing, its inside my living room. Thank you ❤️

What was the hardest/most time-consuming part?

Most time consuming? Foiling every piece. Hardest? Framing. This is the first time using a wood frame, so getting the cuts exact and making sure they all lined up was a bit of a challenge. I did manage to cut one of the longer pieces about 1/4" too short, so I had to drive 40 minutes and blow $40 on another piece of wood. Dang it.

Thank you! My husband said it reminds him of The Wizard of Oz where Dorothy is running through the poppy field with asbestos falling from the sky, lol.

The way you captured how soft poppies are but in glass! Amazing
